Re: Tire Pressure Monitors Reply #1 – March 13, 2022, 03:27:11 pm I presently have the tire minder system on my 2016 TK 24 ft. and the previouse owner had it set up to monitor the tow car. Replacement batteries are free from factory for 5.00 shipping( they are a larger voltage tha the watch type batteries you buy in stores. They sent a new set of the new style caps and seals for 5.00 more. I dont like that i have to scroll thru the monitor/ tires to check to see if i am slowly losing air. But it sets up easyfrom the start. I had a less expensive set up on my Casita 17 ft and 2012 Pathfinder, a TST-507 SYSTEM. THE batteries can not be replaced but when i sold the casita they were still going strong at 3 years. I purchased the additional repeater but did not need it ...still new in the package. This sytem is less expensive than tire minder and i have the number from the lady i purchased them from.Alice. She is a wholeseller and saved me about a 100.00 off what the factory here in Georgia charged. PAID 239.00 for the monitor, 2 sensors, and the repeater. Her email is: accentmyride@outlook.com. I liked that the tire temp and pressure would rotate through the tires as i was driving. The set comes with a wrench tool to loosen the nut on the back of the cap. I just kept it in the bag with the mo itor.Just a glance and i could see each one. The repeater would be needed so as not to drop the signal to the tow car. Both systems work as designed but for the price and if i had to buy again i would go with the TST-507 for 2 to 4 wheels but if you are monitoring 10 to 12 then over time and having to replace each monitor on the TST would get expensive. Tire minder it is 5.00 shipping no matter how many you need. 1 Likes

Re: Tire Pressure Monitors Reply #6 – March 14, 2022, 02:31:58 pm Hi Ted. I mounted the repeater antenna on the inside of the valance for the back window. It has a free range toward the back for reception, and repeats toward the receiver through the motorhome. (of course both are omnidirectional). It isn't normally visible. I picked up power from the light in the underneath side of the cabinet, and the cabinets hollow floor had enough toom for the mrchanism. Getting the staples out of the floor of the storage compartment was the hard part. RonB 2 Likes

I imagine it doesn't drain much if it does.
Re: Tire Pressure Monitors Reply #9 – March 15, 2022, 12:20:10 am Hi Ted. I got a machinist's pick and got under it. Maybe a screwdriver. The first one is the hardest. I'm sure the wood panel isn't glued. Sometimes I just get the panel loose and pull it out then remove the staples after the fact. Wood putty and some stain afterwards. Small flat head screws to reinstall. A small toggle switch or rocker switch to turn it on or off. On a trip you can leave it on. I didn't want it sitting for weeks on. Ronb. 1 Likes
