Ford Factory TPMS on 2021 E450
I would like to get the BORG Dually Valve stems installed but if my LD has the TPMS on the valve stems it will not work. Does anybody know if the 2021 E450 chassis has the factory TPMS system on a strap or is it on the valve stem.

Thanks for any information on this.

AFAIK, all factory TPMS sensors are mounted inside the wheel and have the valve stem attached to it.
Maybe one of the forum's few owners of 2021 LDs has more information on how to proceed with extended stems if that is possible.

After getting my 2021 RB home from the factory I had a tire shop pull all the tires to have the Borg stems installed all the way around. The Ford TPMS sensors are part of the valve stem and had to be replaced with the Borgs.    When starting the engine the dash display will show a warning of low pressure and all I have to do is press the “OK” button on the steering wheel to clear the display for the time the engine is running.   I have the TST sensors on all the Borg stems.

Yes. I have the non-flow through type and others use the flow through for ease of use. Mine don’t stick out as much.

Great info Mike.  I was considering doing this myself but was concerned about what the possible side effects might be.  It’s good to know that pressing the OK button on the steering wheel will clear the fault… a very minor inconvenience.  I’ve still got plenty of projects to do on my LD but this will definitely be added to the list.  Thanks for blazing the trail 😁

Mike,
That would bug me to have to press that button everytime.  Why not take for ford sensors and build a small tube that you can pressurise and screw all 6 sensors into it and pressurize to 60psi.  Store the sensors and tube in the coach and ford electronics will find them and declare all is good.

At this point pressing the "OK" button is second nature when starting. I don't even think about it. I did check with Ford early on to see if there was any negative ramifications for the computer and there is none.

John, I don't know if you are aware of my list of modifications I have made after getting our RB but you can check it out here in the Forum topic "Lazy Daze Renovation & Improvements,"  listed as 2021 RB "Villa Verde" whats new & improvements.  I have had a lot of fun personalizing our new coach.

Yes, I’ve been following your Villa Verde improvements thread with great interest ever since you brought her home Sept 2020.  That was one year before I got my 2021 MB and you’ve given me lots of ideas on different improvements and modifications to mine. This forum is a great resource on how to make a well designed and well built RV even better.  Thanks to all who have contributed their ideas and experiences. 😁

FYI - Mike’s “Villa Verde” thread can be found pinned near the top of the “Lazy Daze Renovation & Improvements” category.
