What have you done to your Lazy Daze today?
On our most recent trip, the Lacrosse Clock/thermometer failed and the Fantastic fan in the head stopped working.

I replaced the Lacrosse Clock/Thermometer with a new one at a nominal charge.  Unfortunately the exterior temperature sensor is about 1/16" wider than  the original one and will not fit into the U shaped PVC carrier forward of the rear bumper.  I secured the new one to a propane line above the grey water tank.  We'll see how long it lasts.

I removed the Fantastic fan.  I always take stuff apart to save the usable spare parts for later use, and if not used, to keep my kids busy clearing out all of my spare pieces and parts after I die. While doing so, I found the problem, fixed it, cleaned it, and replaced the fan in the head.

On a recent trip, while filling the fresh water tank, the SeeLevel monitor displayed an open circuit error (OPn) for the fresh water sender. At the time I twiddled the wires at the fresh water sender to no result and let it go, not wanting to take the microwave out to check the wires at the display end. Later in the day the sender more-or-less resumed normal function. As the trip progressed it became apparent that the sender didn’t like it when the tank was near full. Today I pulled the microwave and tested the wires at the display end. No problem. I then filled the tank to full and the sender behaved properly (reported accurately). Sigh. However, when I checked an hour later, it misreported the level. I haven’t seen the open circuit error again, but I’m now pretty confident that the sender is failing.

The SeeLevel System depends on a 'capacitive' phenomenon. An electronic capacitor consists of two plates separated by a dielectric (insulator). Energy can be transferred across the plates depending on minute differences in potential (voltage).

The inner wall of your freshwater tank is one of the plates, the tank wall is the dielectric and the circuit board is the second plate. When the inner wall is wet (i.e. full tank) the ckt board senses that condition. When the inner wall is dry (i.e. less than full) the sensor recognizes the difference.

I suspect that your problem (?) may be due to temperature and or humidity changes. Let it rest for a while and see if it improves of it's own volition.

 Harold, I had the same problem with a LaCrosse replacement unit. Here was my solution.

Funny, as I also had a problem with the bathroom FF exhaust fan not working.  I also disassembled it and was able to get it working.  Not sure what I did but it is still working so must’ve done something right!

Hi Harry (Hbnj7hj);  What am I doing....  I jumped into the fray of upgrading my power situation. I put 450 Watts of Renogy 21% efficient, monocrystalline panels to go with my used SB3000i (thanks Kent). I am assured that it can be re-programmed to handle higher voltages required by Lithium batteries. (Temperature compensation disconnected).
     I've received two SOK 206 AH, LiFePO4 batteries.  Amazon.com: SOK Battery LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Rechargeable Lithium Battery 12V...   They will fit in my battery box with an inch to spare on both sides. An inch of insulation on the back sides (bottoms) facing the aluminum vented door. I've ordered a heater blanket intended for holding tanks, Amazon.com: RV Tank Heater Pad | 12" x 18" | Fresh Water | Grey Water |...      but I plan not to need this by avoiding cold weather, but just in case!  Underneath the side by side batteries will be lifted enough to leave room for a Renogy 60Amp DC to DC converter. Air circulation, while keeping it dry, may require an aluminum heatsink panel.    Amazon.com: Renogy 60A DC to DC Battery Charger for Flooded, Gel, AGM, and...      (slide out tray removed). Powered by the engine alternator, that should charge them while underway. Sudden shutoff by the DC/DC converter shouldn't toast the alternator.  60 Amps continuous shouldn't be that hard to support, and driving demands not much different than present, but of longer duration.  The present original 100A breaker provided by LD will be relocated, but still in the circuit.  The almost new converter (PD4655) has the jumper for Li batteries, to charge from shore power or generator. PD 4655VL 55 Amp Converter Upgrade, Optional Remote Pendant 
        I have 100A circuit breakers on each battery (set/reset type) Amazon.com: ZOOKOTO 12-24 Volt DC 100A Circuit Breaker, 0 or 4 Gauge...   A 40A S/R breaker on the solar output, 60 A S/R breaker on the line between the converter and batteries.  My SG-200 new battery monitor will accommodate LiF batteries, well no Peukert effect there. 
   So feel free to comment. None of this will be very visible, just the BalMar display.   SG200 Battery Monitor - BalmarBalmar     It is in a drawer right now.  The Li's save 30 pounds of lead, but the additional wiring, plywood and Renogy PS used that up. The 450Watts of panels   Amazon.com : Renogy 100 Watt Solar Panel 12 Volt Monocrystalline, High-Effici...    added about 40 pounds on the roof. (deleted my 3 48W panels)  RonB

Hi Harold, Yes: Space 71, no hookups.  Hopefully it will all be working by then, and bugs ironed out. I'll have pictures, but it might be hard to see with covers and insulation in the way. I want to add an inverter, but I have to find a space for it.   RonB

It's a great place for the temperature sensor but what about storing the sewer hose? Our rig doesn't have room for both.
Our temperature sensor is in the propane compartment.

From my experience, the most common cause of Fantastic Fan failure is a dirty cover switch or a loose fuse holder.

It's a great place for the temperature sensor but what about storing the sewer hose? Our rig doesn't have room for both.
Our temperature sensor is in the propane compartment.

The prior owner kept his sewer hoses and accessories in a plastic bin in the forward, lower driver-side compartment because his hoses would not fit in the hose storage tube due to the permanent installation of the hose fittings. Since I inherited his hoses, I have continued that arrangement, thus the hose tube was available for installation of the temperature sensor. I will look at other options in the future as I would like to use that forward compartment for other purposes. I also keep a spare sewer hose in a plastic trash bag inside the fake spare tire cover.

Doesn't it have a function you can trigger to make it play a sound? All recent Apple devices have "Find My" (iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple Tag, etc.), which shows on a map the locations of any devices you've added to the list, and lets you play a sound, and even lets you set down the device or lock it against use. Surely there must be something similar in the Samsung/Android world...?

Used a new battery checker that told me my battery needs to be replaced. 😢 Now trying to figure out how to go about replacing the awning we lost in a storm.

Hi Mamanova; can you go into more detail about your battery checker and why it thinks you need a new battery.  What type and brand of batteries do you have and how old are they.  RonB

To actually test the capacity and condition of the high-capacity coach batteries requires a very large load bank (giant resistor), the one I used at work, many years ago, was mounted on a small trailer. Smaller handheld testers are inaccurate and are not made for testing very large batteries.
The trailer was also used when testing running generators, providing a large load, we do the same on our LDs by running two electric heaters or the A/C, in warm weather.
A battery capacity meter, such as the Victron BMV 700, can be used to determine the battery condition.BMV-700 - Victron Energy
