Help! Replacing shower skylight
Hey everyone! This is my first post, as we are the proud new owners of a 2006 31’ island bed!! Beginning some restorations. My question is: the shower “skylight” needs to be replaced. I found one on Amazon that is 22x22” but wanted to make sure this wasn’t one of those times that you would bite the bullet on and order from lazy daze. They said they have those custom made. Thoughts? Thank you so much!
P.s. Amazon one is half the price, but I want it replaced correctly with no leaks!

The original shower skylights rotted out in a few years, the Factory has an improved model that most prefer and that I would install.

I recently had the shower dome skylight replaced on my 1998 mid-bath.  I had called Lazy Daze and the dome was on back order but soon to arrive.  I was quoted a price of $302.00 for the dome and shipping and could go ahead and mail my check.  When the domes arrived it would be sent.
Since I had other repairs done on my Lazy Daze and had an appointment for repairs, I chose to have the company I used replace the dome.  The price of the dome was $98.00 and labor was $37.50.  They remarked that the dome was much better quality than the original one and should last for some time.   The repair looks great and I'm satisfied with the result.
In my opinion something that costs more isn't necessarily better, as one needs to know more details about the materials used and craftsmanship for a specific item to make a proper decision.

I replaced the skylight on my 1997 MB last year with the the one from the mothership. Installation was very easy and the new one is much better quality than the old one. I paid $289 including shipping May 2020.

What was the shower dome you got as a replacement? I just noticed that I acquired a crack in mine after long pandemic storage! I'll maybe have some eternabond slapped over the crack for now.

Sorry, I didn't ask the vendor of the skylight.  However, it fits well and I'm totally happy with the repair.   I have to smile because I tried to temporarily patch mine from the inside using Gorilla tape and Eternabond.  The sun was so hot it melted the adhesive and it just fell to the floor of the shower.
