Road Handling August 31, 2021, 09:42:44 am I finished reading multiple searches on the Lazy Daze Owners' Group site, but still have a major question: Is there a noticeable road handling difference between the three different lengths the LDs manufactured (24, 27, and 31)? The RV Consumer Group has the 31 being the easiest to handle on the road, but probably the hardest to maneuver in the city. Any thoughts?

Re: Road Handling Reply #2 – August 31, 2021, 10:08:14 am We have a 2007 LD 31 and tow a Jeep Wrangler 2 dr. It is easy a dream to drive and easy towing. No experience with other LDks so I do not know how it compares to the other models.

Re: Road Handling Reply #4 – August 31, 2021, 10:45:41 am Thank you for all the responses of the 31 LDs. You guys are awesome. Hopefully members with the 24 and 27 LDs will chime in with their opinions.
Re: Road Handling Reply #5 – August 31, 2021, 10:58:38 am Have an ‘06 31 IB and tow a CRV. No issues ever driving it, she tracks steady down the road kind of like driving a big ol’ Cadillac. Now it driving through LA was easy, I’d have it made.Jules 4 Likes
Re: Road Handling Reply #6 – August 31, 2021, 11:38:05 am It is really difficult to answer your question objectively unless one has driven new or nearly new Lazy Daze of the differing lengths back to back on the same road course. I had a 26.5 Mid Bath. It was a dream to drive. Fairly neutral in the corners. Short enough to make u turns, well maybe 3point u turns, on most two lane back roads. The downside was it was to small for the wife and I to full time in. We are both older and less Mobil than most, or we might still have it. My daughter is loving it. Picked up driving the LD, in a 3-4 hours after driving subcompact cars all her life. Key learning points being pivot point and markers on the rv that show in the mirrors so she would know where the tires and corners are. Also that it is ok to get out and look before backing up. 4 Likes

Re: Road Handling Reply #9 – September 01, 2021, 05:40:13 pm Our 24’ TK is an absolute dream to drive. So much nicer than a Chevy based Class B we had in the past. I do suspect the Chevy had some worn suspension components with a 100k miles though. 1 Likes
Re: Road Handling Reply #10 – September 01, 2021, 06:05:03 pm I think the 27' is a good balance between the three sizes as there is plenty of storage space inside and out. It is short enough to fit in most government campground sites with easy maneuvering. Our 2021 handles on the back roads we mostly travel very well. Great power in the mountains. Tight switchbacks are no problem. Open highways are also no problem, plenty of power to merge into traffic and keep up with others. Just a personal note, the 27' has less outside surface area to clean & wax. Also there is less interior air volume inside to heat & cool than the 30' models. The decision always comes down to what your own needs are. 1 Likes
Re: Road Handling Reply #11 – September 01, 2021, 07:38:34 pm We like the 24’ size and have owned two Front Lounges. They are very easy to drive and it fits in most parking spots, assuming the width is wide enough. We have found campsites in several states with 24’ limits, the Oregon Coast being the latest.Working on so many LDs in the past, I have driven every size multiple times and still prefer the shore versions. You can get used to any length, pick the one that works best for you.Keep in mind it isn’t hard to overload a 31’ model.Larry
