LDs Can Be Troublesome August 06, 2021, 02:52:52 pm I remember a few years ago, Larry W. mentioned that he finds LD projects on nearly every trip. I thought to myself “I’ll never be like that.” (His post is around here someplace).Sadly I’ve succumbed to that same disorder which clinically is referred to as “Our LD Will NEVER, EVER Be Completed” Syndrome. It’s a rather time consuming disorder characterized by an empty wallet and a persistent examination of anything that could benefit from a tweak or upgrade. I could probably benefit from some form of therapy or at least some medication.So what are we doing tomorrow? I’ve not saying anything. 😇 14 Likes

Worse, actually... less well-built, more "features" to break.At some point after we bought the LD, my wife said: "I didn't realize we were buying you a science experiment."One fellow on a different forum has a signature on his "handle" that I appreciate each time I read one of his posts. Fortunately, it can be controlled by yielding to your obsession and going with the flow. No matter how perfect your LD is, there are always little things that would make it even better.One side effect is a better-looking or functioning LD, fine-tuned to your needs.Larry 10 Likes

I confess the cheapest 'upgrade' was using a bit of steel wool on the exhaust. <smile> Baxter needed her exhaust pipe sparkly.......glen 3 Likes
Re: LDs Can Be Troublesome Reply #9 – August 08, 2021, 08:00:07 pm Ya had to go and post that picture of removed steps....With what started as replacing my drain baskets because of age, I am in now in the middle of resurfacing my kitchen sink, replacing the bathroom sink faucet and not nearly done......and egads....I am now going goo goo eyes over that nice black shiny repainted piece of metal. When my project desires stop, I will certainly be 6' under and still wondering how to repaint my new home. 2 Likes
