TireMinder booster location
I purchased a TireMinder TPMS. In the instructions it mentions that it is very important to install the provided signal booster. To those of you that have the TireMinder system and use the booster; Where and how did you mount the booster unit? I have a 2012 RB and I’m towing a Jeep Wrangler.
Another guestion: how long do the 3V “coin batteries”, used in the transmitters, typically last?
Be well and Thanks so much. Dale from Downey.

I have the same system and I mounted my booster in the bin next to the battery box and ran the 12v wire through the wall.  If you are having any problems with the tst transmitters, the factory will replace them for life.  That is what they told me when I visited their booth at the Tucson RV show a couple of years ago.  And I bought the system used, but didnt matter to them.

On my MD, I added a 12 cigarette lighter end to the transmitter and plugged it into the existing LD socket near the TV center and turn it on and off with the existing LD power switch behind the TV. The transmitter is in one of the shelves behind the TV as well.

I placed our TST booster on the upper driver’s inside corner of the back window above the toilet. I powered it from the light above the toilet with a disconnect switch.
I replace the button batteries once a year.

Thanks for your reply. So, you mounted your booster inside the outside cabinet next to the battery compartment and connected the wires directly to the batteries?

I think this might work. Do you recall how often you have to replace your transmitter batteries?

Is the wiring hidden? I’m not sure what you mean by “disconnect switch”. It does, however, sound like the area I would like to mount it. Do you have any pictures? Thanks so much for indulging me.

Mine works well without booster.  I talked with rep at FMCA this month and he said if I ever needed it, to put booster in the battery compartment, that the booster should work well there.  I told him that the batteries were right behind the driver's seat and he said it should still work there.

Dale, the other replies are from folks with a mid bath which has a different layout for the battery box. If you look my post under “Improvements to Villa Verde” there are photos of my install of the booster above the toilet in our rear bath coach.

The TPMS in our Front Lounge often does not 'see' the rear inner driver's side sensor, it never has a problem with the toad's sensors.
I mounted a booster in a closet right above the 'invisible' sensor, its power provided by a nearby lighting fixture, with the on-off switch mounted the light, for easy access.
