Full Timers Roll Call
Our LD Neighborhood seems to have a good collection of full-timers, who bring a wealth of knowledge based on years of RV experience.  The other day I read where one of the LDOF Faithful has full timed for 14 years.  That caused me to wonder who are the Full-Timers?  I’d like to ask those folks to share how many years they’ve full timed.    Kinda of a FTers muster!

I've lived full time in my Laze Daze since the day I bought it almost 14 years ago.
Before the Lazy Daze I lived full time on a motorcycle for 7 years.
So, I've been a nomadic man for more than 20 years now.
Love the lifestyle and wish I had started sooner.

Technically, I have been a full-timer since August 1, 2019. I have lived in my LD the whole time, but unfortunately, I had my travels suspended due to Covid. I've been doing some parental caregiving and waiting for other family members to get vaccinated so that we can take turns.

I've done a few trips around Texas and will be back on the road as of August 28 for 3 1/2 months.

My feet are so very itchy! :-)

Near full timer since 2012, we spend about three months in our Michigan summer cottage, the rest of year in our 04 MB.

Retired in May 2019 and have been full time since then.  Covid slowed down travelling a bit, but I think having a mobile quarantine unit and retirement income minimized any direct negative effects on ourselves.  Covid did make my wife want to be closer the the grandkids and so we moved into an apartment last week (I'm not going anywhere near the real estate market in this climate).  We'll sadly put the rig on the market and look for a smaller trailer like a Escape or Casita.  I have very mixed feelings about that.

I've been fulltiming for 13+ years and don't wanna stop yet! I almost exclusively boondock, with occasional stays at other types of places. Right now I'm in a national forest in Colorado at 9,000 feet, staying cool.

I'm with you on the boondocking. And, I needed to get to 10,000 feet to cool off over in Utah.

I lived in my 2003 Rear Bath since I got behind its wheel in May, 2003...until I purchased a 5th wheel to live in in February, 2021.  Second Wind has over 149,000 miles on her, and she's still my trusty means for exploring and visiting. No regrets whatsoever.

Hey, Lorna, check your odometer again; I thought your rig had close to 170k!?

Joan you are correct.  I have a new keyboard that creates typos while I'm not looking!  The current mileage on Second Wind is 179665.  And while I didn't travel in the PNW this Summer, she will be my ride to the Ladeze GTG in Quemado, NM in September...adding another 2 or 3 thousand miles!

I don’t think very many people can say that!!   That’s hardcore nomadic living IMO.   I can’t even imagine.   Wow.
I spent 4 years outside the USA, visiting 38 countries along the way. Wore out that bike, came back to the US and got another one. Did 3 more years and another 100,000 miles before deciding enough was enough.
Started looking for what was next and decided a Lazy Daze was it. Took me over a year to find the one for me and I've been living in it ever since.
Got lucky and found a nice one owner, well maintained 23.5 FL with 86,000 miles on it. After almost 14 years of full timing, it now has close to 145,000. The old V-8 just keeps plugging along, albeit at 8 mpg.

Retired March 6 of this year, sold the house, packed the wife into the LD and hit the road.  Been living in it since April 26, 2021.  traveled the western US coast for the first 2 months and now we’re in the North Cascades NP.  Still have eastern Oregon, California, and Utah.  Will winter in Tucson and decide what to do next. The plan is to full time for the next 3 years - at least.

I'm also very proud that in almost 14 years I've only paid to stay twice for 5 nights total.
Both times at Furnace Creek in Death Valley. There for motorcycle rallies.
Total fees paid in 14 years is $68
Being out west has made this much easier with all the free public lands available.
