Lots of interest to buy right now
I have had three people in five days stop by and ask if I want to sell my LD, even as old as it is.
There’s lots of interest in used LDs if anyone is considering selling.
I’ve put so much labor into mine lately that I need to keep it and use it for at least another year.

Indeed, used LDs were a scarce resource even before the pandemic.

Now they are virtually impossible to find for sale without being snatched up immediately, hence you have buyers asking owners if they are remotely interested in selling.

I am still looking for a 23.5/24 foot....yes I know they are as rare as hens teeth....
I am glad I picked up the Casita...at least I'm able to travel ....got my shots and have reservations April and May for some low key camping...double masked . I can no longer watch the paint fade on the walls....gotta go somewhere. Once all this covid madness goes away...folks will feel safe to show their units. I have also started looking more at my 2nd choice....Coach House ...no slides in some of them..all one piece fiberglass bodies. CH has a factory in Nokomis, Fl. No middle guys....Factory direct if anyone interested.

We bought a Coach House motorhome a few years ago.  They are a Class B about 24-25 feet, and are either on a Mercedes or a Ford.  They are a very high quality RV made from top of the line parts.  We visited the factory twice during the process (once to buy and once to pick up).  They have many workers who have been there for 15-20 years which is one of the reasons for the high quality.   I'm sure anyone used to the high quality of a Lazy Daze would appreciate a Coach House.  We sold it after a couple of years mostly because it was just too small for our needs.   We are now back in the Lazy Daze family.  Hope this helps.   Gale

It's a seller's market for sure.
I got $19.5K for our 1995 TK from the  first person who looked at it. I had it in very good shape.
The speed of the sale tells me I could have got more but I'm okay with the price we got.

Class B or C?  High quality, to be sure.  We considered a Coach House and Born Free (no longer in business) prior to buying our first Lazy Daze.  We easily selected Lazy Daze for the following reasons: 1) Lazy Daze are of comparable build quality, 2) at the time, Lazy Daze pricing was ~$100k versus over $150k for a Coach House or Born Free, and 3) of the three, Lazy Daze has a bright, open interior with picture windows that bring the outdoors in.

Seems I just joined the "Do you want to sell your Lazy Daze?" party.

I was out running an errand and the plumber who was doing some work in the house asked my step-father if I'd be willing to sell my LD. He told him "no". I suggested a price of $1 Million should someone ask again in the future (seller's market :-) ).

Just to let folks know...Josh the flipper is on our forum.....he just posted a 2003 LD 23.5 on rvtrader....the person he bought it from had the ad up 24 hours...she emailed me after posting the ad.....I ask her to take it down while I reviewed the records and drove down to see it. I decided it was not for me. Her asking price was 19,500.....Josh saw the ad in the 24 hours and sent a message to her....his story was that he had been looking for one a long time....I sent her an email that he was a flipper...doubling the price or even more.....not sure what she ended up selling it to him for but I'm sure he had a story....hope we can figure out who he is and get him blocked....I also believe their are others on here doing the same flipping business...should be easy to located....this is why I ask in my ad that sellers contact me before placing an ad.....trying to avoid conflict and madness while trying to purchase an expensive item....

If any member is aware of an LD flipper posting on our Classifieds forum, please let Judie, Larry or me know. The Classifieds forum is for the convenience of LDOG members' honest interests to buy or sell a Lazy Daze, not to "flip" them. Flippers will be flipped off.

Appears to  have  elements of a free market, in a capitalist society, where individual liberties  are abundant.   Fascinating  pic of transporting  a LD.   Thank you for  sharing.

I, like DebInVenice, have been inducted into the 'party'.
A second door-knocker came by the other day wondering if I was willing to sell.
Undeterred by my response,  he asked if I might be willing to take $45K for it.
Me: "No, but the executor of my estate might.  She has first right of refusal"
Him: "I'm not sure I understand you".
Me: "The main reason I am not interested in selling is that I am still alive"
He seemed to understand and left.   I hope that he wasn't shifting to plan 'B'

There's a guy that keeps coming by to try to persuade me to sell my LD. Last attempt was #4. It's all in a different post about rude buyers. Some just don't want to take no for an answer.

Spoke with Todd at Lazy Daze today about scheduling a repair and he remarked that if you already own a Lazy Daze, you're lucky since you've got "gold." ;D

We are on the wait list for a new rig. Checked in the other day and were told there is zero production at the moment because they cannot get any chassis from Ford. Happy to have our 2006 26.5 RB.

Ford E-series are built at the Avon Lake, OH, plant; this notice indicates that they will be shut down for a week. The "chips" aren't falling!  :(

Ford Motor Company Ohio Assembly Plant - Avon Lake, Ohio, USA

Lazy Daze is a tiny niche producer, so it receives a very small chassis allocation compared to the mega-manufacturers, even when the chassis are available.

I am thinking of selling my 2004 26.5 midbath LD, but not sure yet.    It needs some repairs, but only 35k miles on it.  I'm curious what they are selling for.  Grown kids moved clear across the country so I may be doing more flying than driving :(

Better to get this information from the seller. Click on the poster's avatar and send a personal message from the link in his/her profile.

Used and new RVs, boats, cars, homes are all selling above historical valves.  The out of control market place is setting prices that seem to regularly increase.   Values seem to depend on location and condition.    Owners in larger urban areas with a well maintained “something” are asking 10-15% or more over historical values.

Hope this helps.

If u can't find that quality used LD then definitely consider a used Coach House.   The pricing is not that much different and quality holds up.

CH used are way overpriced for me.  Especially the ones sold by the factory.  They have problems too.  Hard to get coach parts as some are European.  That issue was there before covid.  Also, closed in feeling and paint job not as durable.  However, it is nice to have factory to perform work on the CH.

LD best value now.  But even some of them are over priced.  But hey get it while you can!
