The crew at Blown Spark Plug have regularly replaced spark plugs in older V10s, after examining the spark plug threads with a borescope. I have personally watched them change two sets of plugs on friends' older LDs and have had long conversions with both of the owners.
Cylinders that pass get a new, stock 4-thread plug, torqued to a much higher level than the original stock torque, 12-ft/lb vs. 28-ft/lb.  They do not guarantee that the replacements will not blow out, only installing a full set of inserts will eliminate that potential problem.
If changed soon enough, the plugs have a much lower chance of blowing out. The low stock torque allows the plugs to loosen and slightly bounce, slowly damaging the spark plug threads.
