Hi Romeo;  Looks good to me. An issue with the bathroom mirror.  Torrance is very unfriendly to motorhomes. This 2003 is what I would consider low mileage. No upgrades.... That RVS-30 would have to go. Price is reasonable considering what other recent asking prices have been. Sale price is open for negotiation of course.  RonB

Can you share more about why Torrance is unfriendly to motorhomes?
This one looks interesting.

Thanks,
Sara

Sara; Torrance has little signs, easy to miss, at some entrances at city boundaries :announcing that RV's are unwelcome and subject to tickets and fines, just for parking anywhere but private parking".  I paraphrased that. "effective July 1, 2007 only registered oversized vehicles and/or trailers with activated daily paperless parking permits will be allowed to be parked on public streets. There are also provisions for residents who are hosting visitors traveling in an oversized vehicle or trailer (OV Visitor Registration Form). The resident registration stickers are available at the Community Development Department (CDD), and  the daily paperless parking  permits can be pre-purchased at the CDD or the Torrance Police Department (TPD) when City hall is closed. The daily paperless parking permits can be activated by calling the TPD at (310) 618-5636."
More: a FAQ answer: " What do I do when I have a visitor with an Oversized Vehicle or Trailer?
First, complete the Oversized Vehicle/Trailer Visitor's Application, available online,  at the Community Development Department and at the Torrance Police Department, with both the Torrance resident information (signed by hosting resident) and visiting vehicle information.  The completed application and the $15 per day visitor parking permit fee must be paid to the Community Development Department or the Torrance Police Department prior to calling the Torrance Police Department at (310) 618-5636 to activate the daily paperless parking permits."  Their 'day' is from noon to noon, so likely you would need two days at $15 per day to stay at a friends house.   The only time I visited, I parked in the nearby city of Lomita, on a non residential street, and used their car.
The problems I heard about, at first, involved people just passing through, stopping in front of a restaurant to eat. They didn't live there, and didn't know anyone who lived there. They received a ticket just for parking an hour or so on street where other parking was allowed. Maybe the police involved misunderstood the regulation at first. Maybe they counted on the people just passing through would just pay the fine and not contest it.  The one sign I saw had red lettering, about 10" x 8", on Crenshaw at  the 405 freeway. I should have circled back to get a photo!      RonB

Driving back from a weekend camped at Rincon Parkway, we were commenting on how full the RV sales lots are. There are plenty of new and used RVs in SoCal right now. It looks like a buyers market again.

RV prices especially LD's have swung up to ridiculous.  From my experience when the pendulum swings in the other direction it  will then swing to lower than pre-Covid prices.  I'm posting what I find for sale, if for nothing else but to document this odd time period for the future.

This is very odd to me.  Please let me know what you think.  It says it's a 28' rig but I think it's a 24 footer.  I call it a "side bath" but what's it proper name by LD?

I would run from any vehicle for sale whose owner didn't have enough common sense to declutter it before posting photos online.

The "declutter fail" seems to apply to the 1982 Chevy; the 1989 Ford in the second ad looks like it was tidied up for the photo shoot.

But, no, I don't get why an owner would not seem to care about presenting the rig in the best possible light. If nothing else, not bothering to remove personal clutter throws up red flags about all the other stuff that the owner may not have bothered to do.

YMMV, as ever.

If true, this is a very rare GP-30, a larger, taller chassis with 19" wheels, 454 V-8 and a GVW of 14,000-lbs.
They were only available from 1994-1996.

The front nose is rotted, just like most pre-1990 LDs. There is rot in the driver's side rear corner, in the walls around the toilet.
More pics would probably show more damage.
This is a rig to run away from very quickly.

Hi Romeo;  "What are the "Boils" in the aluminum above"  under and around the cabover passenger side window...  That is caused by water penetration behind the aluminum.  Called 'electrolysis' an electric current through the water dissolves the aluminum. Aluminum chloride mostly.  By the time the corrosion comes out under the paint, a larger amount of aluminum is 'crumbly' . Time consuming to fix; the water leak has to be fixed first from the inside, then restoration of the aluminum, think Bondo, then paint.
If you are retired with a lot of time, and a skill set for 'inside the wall' repairs of rot, it would make a good 'project' motorhome. If you have to pay someone else to fix it, then 'prohibitively expensive' would apply.  RonB
