UM,   I know RV's are going for a lot these days but...I think this price is well off the bell curve.

1989 Lazy Daze 22ft Class"C" Motorhome - $13,950 (Portland) OR
1989 Lazy Daze 22ft Class"C" Motorhome - rvs - by dealer - vehicle...

Wow, that age will be a money pit I think unless there have been recent upgrades and repairs to all the key components.

Hi; Well repainted for sure. The first outside photo has some ominous lumps just near the kitchen vent. Looks like electrolysis corrosion to me. The fourth from last photo looking into the shower pan has what looks like 'brown scum' on the threshold to the carpeted area.  My TK shower pan is one smooth piece, and I don't have carpet. (Well some carpet on the wall under the threshold, but vinyl on the floor itself)  It does have the fiberglass nosecone, fake windows, and not a front window.  Pricing has to start somewhere, but depends on the buyer. The dealer doesn't have pictures of the roof, age of tires or batteries. Newer refrigerator?, Drapes, window coverings, maintenance, etc.?  RonB

Looks Brand new! 26.5 RK 2003 on FB marketplace in Riverside, California

2003 Lazy Daze Motor Home, Class C, 26 1/2 feet, 1 Owner with only 6,455 original miles.
This gorgeous motor home was owned by an elderly couple who used it locally only a few times.
The motorhome was always stored inside a garage and is in very nice condition, the inside looks a good as the day it was new. No wear on anything! The gentleman passed away last year and the family is selling it for whatever someone is willing to pay. (high bidder) There is no reserve. The Lazy Daze is fully equipped with every feature you could get at the time. A/C, Heat, stereo CD player, stove, microwave oven, full refrigerator, electric power step, full kitchen and dining table with desirable rear kitchen with corner window. 6 way power captains seats up front, Awning, also comes with a privacy front and side window snap on cover. premium stainless wheel covers, very spacious with lots of counter space for preparing foods, walk in shower and bathroom, comfortably sleeps 4 people. The interior is perfect, flooring, carpet, and wood cabinets, tons of storage space. The bonus is the Onan MicroQuiet 4000 powerhouse generator with almost zero hours on it. This RV has all the right equipment a motorhome should have. There is no TV as it was removed to install a larger one, then he passed away. This RV is just the right size and very easy to drive, has the powerful Titan V-10 engine that is not even broken in yet. Auto trans, power steering and windows. Also equipped with a class A towing package so you can tow another car or vehicle if you like. You will get many years of great camping and travel out of this hardly used RV. Current car fax report shows the 1 ownership and the documented original miles over the years. The RV runs and drives perfect and can be driven anywhere in the country now, has new tires and battery. Call with any questions or offers on the RV.  California title with up to date non-operation registration for the past 5 years. All the original documents, books and records come with it including the original brochure from the dealer where they bought it.

That listing was placed on Ebay and was off by the next day.  Someone probably paid the owner enough to pull it from the Ebay auction.

Hi Greg; Asking price isn't what they will get, but I might be wrong of course. $13,000 isn't what it used to be either.  I believe that 350 engine is still carbureted. I've already had two good mechanics retire on me. Carbs introduce a not seen for a while 'low gas mileage' and poor performance at high altitudes issue.  Unless you can maintain the drivetrain yourself, you're asking for trouble and expense. RonB

"perfect fixer upper" for $17K?  Nah, hard pass.  I've seen 1990's models in much better shape for just a few thousand more. How do these people come up with these ridiculous prices?

They redid the cab over nose to eliminate the windows.

The cabover windows are covered from the inside, you can see in the exterior photo that they are still there. Our cabover sides windows have been covered with light-proof insulation since new.

That is crazy, our 1983 FL sold 18 years ago for only $8000, and it was in very good shape.

Covid has really upended pricing of used RVs generally. Is there a good source for current pricing for say, a 2006 27 foot RB nicely equipped with 40k miles? TIA.

I think the bubble may have popped on COVID pricing for RVs.  Could be that because of the rush last year, all of the RV manufacturers went into over drive and over produced.  I'm seeing RV lots in the St Louis area packed full.  I would think that if families were going to buy one it would be before Memorial Day weekend which is next week.  So if the "Supply and Demand rule" is applied then since supply is higher than demand, then prices will drop.  There are some LDs advertised in the Los Angeles area and the prices are coming down from when they were first listed.

2008 Lazy Daze 31' Island Queen Bed RV. Custom built in Montrose CA
I’m the original owner.

Seems a bit too reasonably priced, along with other irregularities, like:

An original owner thinking it was built in Montrose?
MILWAUKEE mentioned yet listed in Fort Collins, Colorado?
Very few photos of the RV

Wish I could see the license plate better, but I can see enough to know it’s neither CO or WI.

Buyer beware, as always.

Hi Dave;  Well I guess Montrose is close to Montclair, but it says it on the vehicle. 'Custom made', is stretching it a bit. Custom selection of available options is more like it.  'fwd' is not either. Not 'front wheel drive' and while the driven axle has four wheels, four wheel drive customarily refers to all wheels driven with differentials.  The extra high prices seem to be falling now.  RonB

LD ads (and others) often contain weird/wrong/loopy claims and “information”. It seems that this seller confused “Montrose” with “Montclair”. Some sellers apparently know little about what they’re selling and may not take the time or make the dffort to ensure that a listing contains accurate information. It’s up to a buyer to vet the content to avoid buying a pig in a poke.
