Miles from Original Tire
Our 2017 original rear tires are beginning show treat depth decline.  They have presently about 5/32".  We have about 31,000 miles on these tires and are about to leave on a 6,000 mile trip.  Our mechanic says they look fine, but we were wondering the miles people were getting?

Get new tires....better safe than sorry....low tread depth means easier to puncture....sell the old ones to someone with a farm truck or trailer...worth 30 each....thats what I did....if you don't have chrome plated brass tire valve stems this is a good time to get them...the inner tire gets the long ones so its easier to air up...

What are the manufacturing dates of the tires? Have the tires been kept covered when not in use? Have they been properly inflated for the load of the LD (and is the LD overweight)? Has the LD had periodic alignments, and/or does the tread on any or all of the tires show unusual wear patterns that indicate mis-alignment? Other than that the tires are "original" (what is the brand, and is it possible that the tires were under a recall?) on a 2017 model, there's little information other than the tread appears to be wearing.

Tread wear on an RV tire is less common than sidewall deterioration, and if the tires show tread wear, particularly uneven tread wear, on tires with that few miles, I would expect that the condition of the sidewalls is "marginal" also. And, I would definitely make sure that any underlying condition or practice that could be causing (what appears from very limited information to be) premature tread wear is accurately diagnosed and corrected before installing new tires.

If I were heading off on a trip of any length, let alone one of 6000 miles, my rig would have (at the least) 6 new tires, inflated properly for the load, a thorough check of all the suspension components, and an "all-around" alignment by an experienced shop.

YMMV, as ever.

Ross, I recently purchased new tires after buying our 2017 in anticipation of some longer trips coming up later this year.  Probably could have got more mileage out of the original tires but since I just bought the rig in December, I didn't know their history.  They had a similar number of miles as yours.  Replaced them with the Michelin Cross Climate model as the LTX is no longer available.

DOT dates are the measure to use not the age of the vehicle.   Mine were 7. years old on the rear and 6 years old on the front with less than 20,000 miles.   They looked good but I opted for safety especially with grand kids now traveling.   Replaced all 6 last month with the new Michelins with a DOT date in March 2021.

Five year old tires are more likely to have problems. The miles may be low, few of us wear the tires out before they time out.
For peace of mind, change them now, the summer heat will find any weakness.
We had a left, rear inner blow out a few summers ago with 5-1/2 year of tires, I was going for six years and didn’t make it.
The damage wasn’t too bad, compared to what some LDs suffered. A flaying tire can tear up anything in its path and can do thousands of dollar of damage.

Michelin's "LTX" tire was replaced by the "Defender", then the "Agilis Cross Climate", linked below.

Not sure when that change occurred but my old tires were the LTX model.

We decided to replace all six as the tire store said at best you will come back in August after your trip and spend the same amount.  So I would not be worrying with tires, we went ahead with six new ones.

We store the LD under cover when not traveling.  I always check wear on tires after each trip to see if balanced okay. They were always inflated at least 5lbs more than the chart recommended for our weight.  There were no signs of cracks in old tires.  The rear tires were showing the wear probably because of more weight.

Our ‘15 RB has about 27,000 miles on it and the tires are just at 5 1/2 years old. No uneven wear or checking. That’s all good news. They will be R&R’ed before our next journey in August.

Replacing all of them. That includes the spare. For the small price of that hidden tire it just makes sense.

Staying safe.
