Not mine, but with the tow vehicle, it looks reasonably priced.

2000 Lazy Daze 26 MID BATH in Levering, MI
https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2000-Lazy-Daze-26-MID-BATH-5016074430
Motor home is in good condition, includes 2007 Chevy HHR tow vehicle. We are the second owners. Everything works.

Check history to see if it was stored inside/outside or covered.  Michigan winters can be hard on the flat roof due to snow load, rain and sunshine.  Since it is at top of Michigan, it gets a lot of snow.
Where were the original owners from?
Nice layout inside.
Is it fuel injected or carburetor?

Is it fuel injected or carburetor?

A 2000 LD has 305-HP, fuel-injected V10, it's big fault is the very real blown spark plug problem. Seen it happen too many times.
Blownoutsparkplug.com Ford Spark Plug Thread Repair has recently installed full engine, spark plug inserts on three forum members pre-2004 LDs, all owners who plan on keeping them for a long time, a practice I definitely endorse for owner planning on traveling far away from home.
Installing inserts costs a third of what a new engine does. If you have an old rig that still is in good shape and plan on keeping it, give this consideration. Odds are a plug will blow someplace where there are no nearby shops willing to tackle the repair.
If the cost of the conversion frightens you, consider buying their emergency plug, used to seal the damaged spark plug hole until it can be repaired. The noise made by a missing plug is extremely loud.
Emergency Plug Kit

$32,000 for 2000 LD, all I can say is wow! The market is crazy.

Hi - I'm brand new here, I saw an ad for a 2003 26.5 MB with 88k miles for $20k which seemed like a good deal to me. The very few pics looked decent but it was already sold before I could find out specifics. It has me wondering though is that high mileage for a used RV? As a first time RV owner, who would be a full-timer with no mechanical knowledge, is that a bad idea even if everything checks out to be in okay shape and routinely maintained? My original plan was to buy new as soon as I could get on the list but the interior designer in me won't be able to refrain from painting cabinets and walls and covering everything I can. I thought maybe I should go used in that case so I don't deface a brand new LD

Hi Casalita; Welcome to the group, LDOF (Lazy Daze Owners Forum), or people wanting an LD, or that used to have one, or in betweeners.
A good average is 5,000 to 10,000 miles per year, so the 2003 at 18 years old is on the low side of miles. Any vehicle that old will have issues. 10 years old fewer issues, 5 years old, better. At 18 YO, condition is of utmost importance. How gently it was used, where and when it traveled, how it was taken care of etc. all factor into its present value. Color, floorplan, location and options affect how desirable it is to you, and only you can decide if that price is good.  $20k sounds 'in the ball park' and the fact that it sold fast is a good indicator that someone else thought it was a good price too. We don't know what the final sale price was. Maybe a lower price was negotiated. Usually the final price is about what the seller was asking for.  Good luck in your search. It is uncertain when the factory will start taking orders again, or how long the wait will be.    RonB

Welcome to the group, Casalita!  Regarding mileage, I wondered the same thing awhile back.  Check out this thread from four years ago.  It’s limited data but look at reply #18 for a chart on actual users average yearly mileage.  There are lots of other considerations beyond just mileage such as whether the rig towed another vehicle or trailer, how it has been maintained, etc. as Ron mentioned.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful! I never heard of LD, nor my Thor owning sister, and I stumbled upon them through a rabbit hole of RV research. I thought finally an exterior that is more "me". I was really interested when I saw they don't force slides upon you for a 27' but their website turned me off. I still continued to dig deep and kept reading about their quality and was more and more sold on them. I had no idea they have such a following and highly sought after! Hope to find a gem one day!

This LD was not at Morro Bay this year, I contacted the owners of the MB attendee and their LD is not for sale.
It's an odd  coincidence that two early 80's LDs, both blue and with pop-tops, are located in Burbank.
LD made very few of these models.

Thanks for clearing that up, Larry, as I wasn’t sure.  I briefly spoke to the gentleman at Morro Bay and he had mentioned they may be selling it so thought it might be theirs. Yeah, figure the odds!

There cannot be many old, blue LDs with a pop-tops, even rarer is finding two in the same town.
But you are right about the owner you talked with, they would like to upgrade to a newer RV.
It takes a lot of work and cash to keep a 40 year old LD operational and dependable.

I vote it's appropriate for this section as a fair warning to others because I'd like to know.
AND it makes me wonder how in the world he finds these LDs.  I'm wondering if he just drives around and makes an offer.
