If you’re talking about the Lazy Daze Companion, doesn’t Don M. maintain it?

Thanks Dave for providing that link that does work. I never saw the one that doesn't.
    The author got some things wrong.  J.D. Gallant at RV.org is still available for quality control commentary. RV Consumer Group - We Rate RVs
    Ed Newton did join the company, which was started by John (?hope that was his first name) Ham and Paul Newton.  (NewHam corp.) They originally made slide-in truck campers with an option for frame mounting. That graduated into just building the camper into the truck frame. I believe that John(?) Hamm left the company and Ed bought out his half. Ed had the management and marketing experience, and more importantly the ability to get along with his brother Paul.  I'm honored to have met both Paul, and Ed. Spent more time with Ed, both before the sale and after pickup.
    As far as the club, I remember that Don Nelson was the previous Wagonmaster, to Bill Saunders (The big Kahuna and his wife.)  Early in our membership Rosemary Webb became the Wagonmaster, and presided until about 2015. She was exceptionally organized. She donated the stained glass window (painted plastic) that still resides in our coach door window. RonB

It was Harold Hamm.  And he died suddenly (heart attack I think) before Ed joined the company.

Thanks Art.  I remember Les Payne, a fellow Nomad, telling me all about the early days of LD. Didn't take notes and it was awhile ago. I'm hoping to talk to Dave Nordstrom, I think he has historical records. I'm sure Dave Hurlry has some also.  RonB

Re: Ed Newton when we were at the plant at the time the 50th anniversary rolled off (the very first one) we sat in it with Ed for almost two hours! WOW he was so interesting not only about the LD but he had a degree in Economics from USC and he told us about their concept of the LD. The Mothership is not the same without him.
