Where Is The Hidden 12v Reset Switch? January 19, 2021, 06:50:40 pm Mods, please do not merge this thread with the other one. I want this to be exclusively to collect photos showing the location of the switch for the outstanding floor plans. Please no discussions of anything else so as not to discourage owners that not interested in a technical discussion. We just want everyone to know where the switch is in case it ever needs to be reset. Not just by the owner, but by a tech. [Think of the hourly rate and it time it might take to locate something that they don't know exists]Text and pictures will be transferred to The Companion. Re: Where Is The Hidden 12v Reset Switch? Reply #3 – January 30, 2021, 08:31:50 pm Just checked for the 12v 50 amp manual reset in my '02 30'. The search verified that I've never been able to find that 50 amp reset anywhere in the 30', even though the manual says it should be there within 18" of my batteries. I pulled both drawers from under the fridge and checked closely - nada. In the battery compartment is the sealed 12v 100 amp circuit breaker (150 amp in newer models), however, it does not have a reset button on it (that I can see). Has anyone found the mystery 12v 50 amp reset on a 30'/31'?Chris
Re: Where Is The Hidden 12v Reset Switch? Reply #4 – January 31, 2021, 05:20:22 am Hi Chris; The breaker in your photo has a lever that will rotate out of the side if it trips. It doesn't have the button to 'set' manually. Protection from accidentally shutting off power. Originally all the parts were black. Nowadays the operating parts generally are another color. Red, yellow, are more visible. Amazon.com: ZOOKOTO 100A Circuit Breaker, Hi-Amp Fuse Inverter with Manual... The 50 A. house breaker is located somewhere in the power line coming in to the converter from the battery. In 2002 it should be a small silver box, about 1 1/4" long with two power 'bolts' on top and a small black button on the side to reset it.Manual Reset Circuit Breakers | Manual Reset Circuit Breakers Supplied... Re: Where Is The Hidden 12v Reset Switch? Reply #7 – February 07, 2021, 04:11:45 pm Finally, after 18 years I have located the mystery 12V circuit breaker. Thanks for the tip, Don. Being an electrically challenged, I was always looking for something more breaker-ish, something with a big red button or a lever on it. My question still stands regarding this breaker: if it trips, how do you reset it? Does that little black button on the front pop out to be reset? Is this an automatic reset breaker? The photos are from a 2002 30' with the 2 drawers under the fridge pulled out. The breaker is on the floor in the lower right hand corner while facing the fridge.Chris

Re: Where Is The Hidden 12v Reset Switch? Reply #9 – February 07, 2021, 11:04:05 pm Hi Chris; Yes the little black button pops out. Pushing it back in after it has cooled down will reset it. The letters 'BAT' specify that terminal should hook up to the battery. The other terminal with two wires; one goes to the power distribution (12v fuses) panel. The other could go to the inverter, or an electric step. A 400 watt inverter would need about a 35 Amp breaker all by itself. RonB 1 Likes

Re: Where Is The Hidden 12v Reset Switch? Reply #12 – February 13, 2021, 06:20:49 pm Thanks Matt. Hard to find! Good picture. Note that it doesn't reset by itself. Presence of the black button means you would have to find this circuit breaker to rest it. Any idea what that gray item is directly under that breaker? RonB
Re: Where Is The Hidden 12v Reset Switch? Reply #13 – February 13, 2021, 08:13:55 pm Hi Ron. If you are referring to the flat looking, grayish area right below the switch, that is one end of the freshwater tank. At the front of that area you can see a couple small wires connected to it. Those are the 2/3 and 1/3 water level sensors. The back of this compartment contains the hot water heater and although it is not visible in any of the pictures the water pump is also located on the floor right below the flexible duct pipe. You are absolutely right about the "hard to find" and I am not looking forward to the day when the water pump will need replacing, That is one difficult to access and tightly packed compartment! Thanks for the verification that reset of my switch is manual.Matt
