Air Conditioner Maintenance
One of the maintenance items prescribed in the Lazy Daze manual is to clean the plastic return air filter assembly‘s on the AC unit. Apparently, I don’t have a manual for my air conditioner.  Can anyone tell me if the filters are underneath this black plastic cover on the front part of the AC (3rd photo)?

Have you checked online for a manual?

Well, my bad again!  No filters on the rooftop so I looked in the LD manual again and missed that the filters are accessed from the interior shroud, not the exterior shroud.  Gee, that’s so much easier!

And.....Greg..... you may also find a few extra new filters in the LD Owners package.

We have another new set in the package, but I am not sure if the previous owner purchased them.

Cheers!

Greg, while you have the unit apart, it's important that the coil shown and the condenser are also clean. Take a minute and wash them out. Compressed air is also good if you don't feel like washing them.

Boy, now I really feel foolish that’s it’s such an easy thing to clean the filters.  Hey, I had a swamp cooler on my old LD - who knew?

Jon, compressed air would have been much better but I did clean off the fins with a brush.  Lots of dust on them so will use air next time.
