Maybe some people do it anyway? I haven't noticed any.The latest 4x4 Ford Ranger is approved, and it's been reported that the full sized 2021 Bronco will be approved. Jeeps have a small oil pump in the transfer-case that lubricates it when towed, Toyota never included this $5 modification and they cannot be retrofitted. Dang.Remco does not sell an oil-pump kit for the Toyotas.Larry

If it was a profitable one, Honda wouldn't have completely eliminated a non-CVT transmission on the CR-V. 4 Likes

The 1998 models added air/bags on the front passenger side, so it would be preferable to mine, but you have to find them.Difficult to locate really clean ones, but they are out there if you are patient. Under powered and with just three speeds in the automatic transmission. 8 valves engine. Your '95 has three valves per cylinder, more horses. Picture is when I just got it in 2009. Since added CB radio, Tow base plate. Other items. It is 4WD, manual hubs. A/C updated to R-134D. Light weight, Seats two, 4 in a pinch (not recommended). The 4 door would be easier for that. I rarely see a 2 door "tin top" and I like it.Just a note for others who may be interested in this particular type of vehicle. Fantastic toad! It apparently was imported by General Motors as a Chevy Tracker. (same car just different markings).The transmissions are (GM) Chevrolet. Early 3 speed auto transmissions (as I have) wind up really tight at highway speeds without overdrive. I think it was in late 1995 that the vehicle was available with a 4 speed overdrive. 3 speed transmission parts are becoming really scarce, but the 4 speed automatics are plentiful. The Sidekick is Suzuki's contribution. Plastic lower side panels, slighly different up-scale trim inside. Things like power windows. Mine has a rear window washer and wiper. Tire carrier on the swing back door. The rear seats fold forward to give a flat floor, so about the size of a normal hatchback cargo space. With the seats up to use, the cargo space will fit two shoebox size containers. They are pretty rare, and getting harder to find, and parts too. A friend bought an entire Samauri for $800 to provide parts to restore his 'Sammy'. The Samauri was the precursor to the Geo/Sidekick. The Vitara followed, but morphed into a bigger, heavier, not as tow friendly car. The 2 wheel drive version with manual, also is towable. Many people put 'lift' kits on and taller tires. RonB
