Lost our companion Link
I have posted pictures of our dog Link from time to time.  He really enjoyed the Lazy Daze and a big as he was managed to never be in the way.  When on the road if the passenger seat was empty he would sit in it with front paws on the floor and head down and resting on the dashboard just watching country roll by.  Unless the window was down enough to get his head out the window.
Link had a cancer tumor burst that caused a blood infection. He was dead a few hours later Christmas morning.  Some of the North East Lazy Daze group have met Link as he attended two of our camping trips. The past four or five years he lived with my daughter helping Danielle obtain a PHD. In the free time he took Danielle hiking in the Shenandoah’s to recharge and enjoy the wilds.

So sorry. You were very fortunate to have each other.

Sorry for the loss of Link.  We had to put down our dog Charlie a while ago. The unconditional love of a dog is truly a beautiful thing. A hope for better days ahead.

The heartache lessens over time, but never entirely goes away.  Each pet (especially poodles!) reserves a place in your heart the minute you touch them for the first time, and they look up into your eyes and you know you are bonded for life!

Sorry to hear this.  We lost Grumpy Smudge this year after almost 17 years.  Yes, that Smudge (those at the Balloon Fiesta and Dead Horse Ranch will know).  You become known for your pups (or kitties) almost as well as yourselves.

Hugs to you.

Boy, isn't that the truth!!  When I had two Saint Bernards and two poodles, I would walk one of each at a time by attaching a poodle's leash to the Saint Bernard's collar so it was poodle in the lead.  Everyone would stop to talk about the dogs, but when out alone, I was invisible.

Virtual hugs,

Judie

So so sorry for your loss especially this time of year. 😢 We had to put down our 1 1/2 year old dog on Christmas Eve 2 years ago due to uncontrollable seizures. The pain will lessen with time but for me it changed Christmas.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  Thank you for sharing the memories and photos with everyone here.  4 years ago this week we unexpectedly lost one of ours in a similar situation.  May the happy times you spent together reside in your hearts forever.

My deepest sympathy,

Losing a family member is extremely painful. I also lost my baby Winston to cancer.

John, sorry to learn of your loss.  I met your dog at one of our Northeast Group rallys.  He was certainly playful!  I'm sure you will miss him enormously.

John, a friend gave us this book when our Pointer, Brook died a few months ago.  As silly as it may seem, the book really helped us crawl out of the sad place we were in.

DaCrema Family

These wonderful creatures so closely align with us as family members in bringing us joy and special experiences like nothing else in this world.

My wife and I have celebrated and mourned the loss of these special creatures too many times.

We both wish you well, and hope you continually enjoy the memories of Link, as in that experience he lives on.

Most respectfully,

Tony & Dianne
