Follow-ups Re: Towing your Lazy Daze Towing your Lazy Daze December 22, 2020, 02:47:27 pm The owner's manual describes towing but pictures are worth many words. I had to have our 30' towed. The towing was scheduled so I had a relaxed chance to talk to the tow operator and take some photos. This wasn't done along a busy Interstate highway with cars and trucks flying by at 80 mph so it was a good opportunity to do this. For those of you who learn better by seeing it done, here are some pictures that demonstrate a proper Lazy Daze tow.- To start, this tow operator knows what he is doing. I talked to him before he even started and he knew exactly what is required. He told me he has towed several Lazy Daze motor homes in the past. I made sure I communicated clearly what was needed when the order was placed. (Front tow from lifted wheels, no bumper attachments, drive shaft disconnected)-A picture of the proper size and configuration of the tow truck needed to get the job done right.- The front wheels are cradled in a frame then strapped to the frame for security.- The operator will lift the front quite high to give himself clearance to crawl under your Lazy Daze to disconnect the drive shaft.- A rear light bar will be placed on your Lazy Daze for braking and signaling from the tow truck; in this case, wireless.- The front end will be lowered to the proper level for towing and allowing good clearance at the rear. There you have it. Re: Towing your Lazy Daze Reply #1 – December 22, 2020, 02:51:21 pm Picking the front wheels up seems a lot simpler than loading the rig on a flat-bed truck, as long as a big enough tow truck is available, that was a large truck. Thanks for the photos.Larry 1 Likes
