Greg, looks like cactus and mesquite trees.  The mesquite wood makes some of the best BBQing flavors.
Used to be grass all over but now natural landscaping is more in vogue, saves the water for humans.

There's an old saying down in south Texas... "If you use mesquite for your BBQ fire, ya'll have every Mexican in the county at yur front door for dinner!"   :D   ;)

Time to wrap this thread up, I suppose. Left Quartzsite early this morning and made it home around three this afternoon. It’s great to be home! It’s been quite an adventure for my first RV trip in Bossa Nova that encompassed over 2500 miles in 8 days. Very thankful that I had no major mishaps, just a few rookie mistakes which I will try to learn from.  All in all, it was a good trip which gave me the opportunity to learn more about our new Lazy Daze. I was able to read through most of the manual and learned a lot from it but there’s no substitute for actually getting out there and getting some miles under your belt.

Here are some photos from today’s leg of the trip. Thanks for listening!

For sure, but I’ll need a little time to recover financially from the purchase!

This is my "home" Cracker Barrel.  Hope you enjoyed the weather.  It's so nice now.  Lost out on a '78 LD yesterday.  It was listed 1 day.  Drove in it, went home to think about it, and it is sold!  Congrats to you.  Bossa Nova looks awesome.
