A New Traveling Character
After way too long we finally have an additional traveler who will join us on our LD adventures.   Her name is Gracie and she seems to be bonding with Margee, which was her plan.   We leave Monday on a short LD trip, which will be our first with Gracie.

Gracie is 9 weeks old and has had all her scheduled maintenance.   She seems in good condition especially her 4 wheel drive.  She can already out run both of us.  MPG is decent at 1/4 cup of kibble 3 times a day.  As expected, her black tank leaks in 2 places, but we’re working on that issue.

I must say Mama Margee is quite happy with puppy.   So it’s all good.

Judging from the picture, I would say the above is an incredible understatement!  What a great joy for you both!  ;->

Her mother is a Schnauzer and the father is a Poodle. Gracie is not suppose to shed very much which is good for my allergies.  Her adult weight is suppose to be about 12 pounds.

Or a Poozer.  Looks like what my dad called a 'heart worm' for the speed at which she worms her way into your heart.
Safe travels all.

What a sweetie Gracie is.  Congrats to the both of you. I can see how happy Margee is, of course from the tone of your post it is easy to tell you have remained completely self controlled and aloof.

Yesterday our puppy (Gracie) was spayed and so a rough night for puppy.  The anesthesia and pain medicine injection seemed like it caused her disorientation.  She didn't drink or eat for 36 hours.  She was very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep or go potty.  Margee stayed with her all night.

This morning, we trimmed the cone since it was way too big for such a small puppy.  It's better now and Gracie tolerates it much better.

This morning Gracie ate some breakfast and drank a little water.  She's still struggling to go potty.

Right now she's sound asleep 💤 wearing the improved collar.  Margee is real tired 😓.

So what have we been doing ... puppy, puppy & more puppy.  But we leave next Tuesday on a short trip into East Texas.  Relief is spelled Lazy Daze!!  😍

Heartworm alright. Got mom wrapped around her dewclaw!  Best wishes for rapid, uneventful recovery.
