Hi! Newbie here, 1970 Lazy Daze November 02, 2020, 12:32:11 pm Hi, just found your group and excited to meet you! We just picked up a 1970 Lazy Daze, 18'. 30k original miles. I am going to say it was special ordered for weekend trips as it does not have a toilet or any holding tanks but does have a shower and space where a toilet would have gone. It was back east and had some racing paraphernalia in it, along with flag pole holder on the side, so assuming it was used to camp at the race track for Nascar events. Anyway, I am in So Cal, any other members have vintage ones here? Joe 3 Likes

Look forward to seeing the exterior photos as well. You may hold the record amongst active forum members for oldest Lazy Daze!
Re: Hi! Newbie here, 1970 Lazy Daze Reply #3 – November 02, 2020, 08:27:46 pm Nice photos, Joe. You may want to call the factory to ask about the 1970 era LD. I don't think the vintage rig on the showroom floor has a toilet. Remembering that era, it probably had a porta potty, cassette type. We had a camper in 1972 with a very small holding tank for a toilet and none for gray water. It had a hook up for a hose out the side of the camper and gray water drained directly into a bucket. Yikes. Hope you have many happy and fun adventures in your new-to-you Lazy Daze!Juli W

Re: Hi! Newbie here, 1970 Lazy Daze Reply #5 – November 03, 2020, 12:52:25 pm If you want to add a toilet, you might consider a composting toilet (as well as the cassette ones). They both have pros and cons to them. From what others have said, I am guessing there is no black & grey tank - so likely it would be harder to put in a typical RV toilet, though if there is space underneath for a tank, it is not that difficult (for a handy person to do).Jane
