2 in the cabover bed, 2 (skinny folks) in dinette, 2 (skinny folks) in the gaucho bed over the dinette. That gaucho bed is pretty cool.

Thanks, Chris. I hadn’t noticed the gaucho bed.  Very cool, reminds of my Hi-Lo trailer!

For a collector, this is the cleanest 70's LD I have seen, the paint looks beautiful.
Wish there were pics of how the bunk bed works, looks like it is hinged somehow.

The price is what it is, right now RV prices are irrationally high.

That would be interesting to see how this particular bed works. On our Hi-Lo, the bed was hinged and used a cable system. Here is a video of how it operated:

It was a little dicey learning to operate but not bad once you got the hang of it.

The way this vehicle is presented looks very enticing to me.  I would look into it further.  The mileage seems pretty high @157K.  Maybe other members can comment on that aspect. If you check it out, comb through all the records they claim to have, get it inspected if you are still interested. I Never bought a vehicle on Ebay, I would be careful about that.

Well that is a standard midbath, except for the barrel chairs on one side. That makes it a rear lounge.  The paint looks good. 15,000 miles on the tires doesn't make them good. Date codes for the tires would be better. "rear stored spare" for the 2000 year might have been in the bustle. I can't remember which year the tire got moved into the passenger side storage compartment.   The blue upholstery is correct. The "Fites' listed on the door name plate does match the paperwork title.
Being stored inside is a good thing, but the roof is going to need some attention by now.   The price at $15k is about right for that many miles. 157,000 is a lot, but many people on this board have more miles than that.  The maintenance records could be very valuable with a coach this old. It is about the same age as my '99TK.  A picture of the roof would be nice.
I think the price is a little high for the miles, but it does have some of the Banks kit. In motion satellite, and HWH levelers. Sunscreens, Bilstein shocks are good. I'm going to assume everything works.  If that is the original refrigerator  (mine still is), it is on borrowed time. Likely to need replacing in the next year or so. Age of house batteries is unknown. Generator hours about right. Solar is good. The original RV-30S could be upgraded along with the converter. The ad copy says it has been upgraded, so maybe that includes those items. Certainly looks good enough to warrant an in person evaluation.  RonB

I have another point of view, while the price is low, at 157,000 miles, this 20 year-old rig is probably in need of significant mechanical work.
Few rigs reach this amount of mileage. I see no mention in the ad about anything being replaced or rebuilt.
It has a 7000-lb hitch, so something over 4000-lbs was towed. 90% of LDs with this type of mileage have had their transmission rebuilt and sometimes the engine and rear axle, The rest of the drivetrain, including the brakes, steering and suspension probably need work. Nothing on a motorhome is cheap to fix, ususally costing two or three times what car repairs cost.  Just finding a mechanic that will work on motorhomes is a huge challenge.

Without a front to back inspection by a highly experienced mechanic and RV tech, I wouldn't get near it. YMMV

I would look at the 2000MB with 157K like this:

Purchase price + worst case scenario = $X

Is $X an amount I could spend?  Is the result better than what I could buy for $X elsewhere?

Say you buy it for $15k and spend $15K on repairs (engine $8k, Trans $4k, something else $3k).  Would $30k be worth it for a 20 year old coach with a new engine and a new transmission and new tires and a new fridge and a new water heater?  It might be....  Anything that doesn't need to be fixed or is less expensive would be a win.

I doubt this one sells for $15K when the auction is over, but that is the way I would think about it.

It also depends a bit on how you plan to use the RV.  A cross country trip is different than driving 50 miles each way to camp at the beach for a week twice a year.

Alternatively, what other rig could you get with $30K?

Is there something like a Kelly Blue Book for Lazy Daze RVs? From reading this forum and thread, it seems like asking prices vary quite a bit for identical or similar year models.

There are too few units on the road and too many variables regarding maintenance, usage, and ramp rash to make generalizations like there is for KBB.  Do check out the price list under helpful links on the home page.
cheers.

The ad states that this unit has a "cassette toilet"; a cassette toilet is essentially a "porta potty" that has a waste tank that can be separated from the toilet "bowl" and is removable through a door on the outside of the rig. Cassettes are used in rigs without a black tank, and are common in truck campers and some vans. Did this LD not have a black tank?

Hard to know without contacting the seller. The under-chassis photo does show a rather large tank of some sort.

The ad states it has an evaporative cooler which is "collectible". I wondering if I should get in line for this 47 yr old swamper.

If not for that, how about the shag carpet on the dog house and dash?  :D

Another classic Lazy Daze. Dogs not included  :D

DODGE Lazy Daze 1973 - rvs - by owner - vehicle automotive sale

Another floor plan I have not seen before. It's much longer than other similar vintage LD and is built on a lightweight van chassis. Anyone notice the lack of rear duals wheels? I doubt if its GVW is over 9000-lbs,  maybe less. It can’t have much CCC.

The interior looks almost original, its interior looks have not been altered, it even has what looks to be the original refrigerator. The exterior paint and stripes have been redone.

So I've been tracking this on ebay and it looks like there is a bidding war going on.  At this point, looks over-priced for a 10 year old motorhome, IMO:
