26.5 MB hallway pantry cabinet
Thanks to posts that I saw here on LDOF, I decided to add a pantry in the hallway of Bluebyrd, my 26.5 mid-bath. I think it came out pretty well! Thought I would share, in case there are others looking for ideas.
The shelves have a front lip of almost an inch, I'm hoping that's enough to keep things from falling out, if not I'll have to figure something else out. They are also adjustable. We couldn't figure out how to put a handle on that wouldn't stick out a bit into the hallway so my carpenter drilled the hole- you just stick your finger in and push the door from the back!

Very nice! Do you think that the cupboard would interfer with a couch sliding out if you had one in the back on the cupboard side? I see that you have replaced your couch with a desk (very cool) but wondered if your cupboard arrangement would still work if you had the couch. Also, can you still open the mirrored closet doors fully in the hall space?
Thanks very much.

Silver,
The infamous "Andy Baird pantry" has been added to many LD's.  Here is Andy's original posting about his install in his TK Pantry closet .  Then he upgraded to a MB and installed it there  along with a lot of other upgrades Upgrade frenzy . Jeanne from Austin has a detailed journaling of her install Project – Pantry Closet | OnTheRoadWithRiley

Yeah, the couch would definitely still be able to slide out- the whole cabinet is ahead of the partition panel. And the mirrored doors still open the same!
I have a post about the desk here: Desk in the back of my 26.5 MB

Thank you. The desk looks very nice. Do you have a chair for it that stores somewhere?

That looks great, and it takes full advantage of the space (my pantry was narrower).

Here's what I did, as described on my website:

I could have used a standard closet handle on the door, but I didn't want anything protruding into the passageway. While browsing the hardware section at Home Depot, I came across an attractive oval trim plate, 3" x 1" and slightly dished. It was perfect—by mounting it on the face of the closet door with about a third of its width hanging over the edge, I had a convenient handle by which to open the closet, yet offering no protrusion to catch on as I walked by.

When building pantries, I use matching Factory replacement doors (they are the same doors as used in the entryway pantry), along with the  Factory side, finger latches that don't stick out.
When built with Factory doors and matching wood, a new pantry can look like it was part of the original construction, instead of an add-on. It is a little expensive to use the Factory doors but many feel it's worth it to have a perfect match.

This looks so familiar.  ;)
