the real thing....?
Got this locally (Boise) for about  $44.  I assume others have tried it?  You hit the button on the bottom to release the hardener and then you get maybe 24 hours or so of use if you don't use it all at one time.

Is matching a panel and getting a non Imron paint just as good?  Luckily I picked the lower part of a rear cap to scratch so the the area is not too noticeable.   I'll use a small brush to also get some minor dings at the same time.  I might post my repair.

Do I need primer on the end cap since it is down to the "white" .      Frank

This is the same paint I have used several times before, repairing LDs.
Its advantage include being custom mixed to match your existing paint and a durability similar to the Factory paint.
If painting over existing paint, sand to 220 grit and then paint. If down to bare plastic or aluminum, priming or etching is needed for best results.

One warning, the paint is a two-part, catalyzing paint, if it gets into your lungs, it will harden and you will probably die.
You MUST wear the proper respirator equipped with the right filters, your automotive paint shop should sell disposable 3M respirators with the correct organic filters.
If while wearing the respirator you can smell anything like paint or solvent, it indicates the filter is not working, stop immediately.
When I used to reseal roofs, washing the seams with solvent the last thing done before applying the tape, wearing the same type of respirator eliminated any smell or side effects of breathing large amounts of vapors.

Good luck and stay safe.

I hope this isn't too far off topic:

Some years ago I frequented a inflatable boat repair shop that also repaired the SEAL team inflatables.  They were always busy repairing boats.  The tech prepped boats with acetone and MEK and never wore a respirator.

He died a few years late of kidney failure.

Respirators are a good idea with catalyzed paints and VOC's.
