Help Support Our Administrative Costs

As we begin the 2020s, may I remind you that our gracious administrators, Steve and Michelle Cook, provide their services at no cost to us. Their hosting costs are offset by LDOG members using the link below (and on the home page) to do shopping at Amazon. If you are not otherwise obligated, please consider using this link for Amazon purchases. Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs...

A little history for those of you who are new to LDOG: Steve and Michelle traveled in a 30' Lazy Daze about 20 years ago. They upsized to a Foretravel for some years and now are comfortable in a class B but obviously still have fond memories of their Lazy Daze years. More than 3 years ago we began worrying about the possible demise of Yahoo Groups, which hosted the original LifeWithALazyDazeRV forum for many years. Steve volunteered to help us migrate to this website, which was introduced to attendees at the 2016 Morro Bay get together. The transition was accomplished with a minimum of difficulty thanks to Steve and Michelle's expertise, and a handful of volunteers from our group. It was a wise move considering that Yahoo Groups is nearly defunct.

Thanks for helping out.

Happy New Year 🥂

Chris

Is there a way to donate other than via Amazon?

Another forum I frequent has a voluntary $25 annual membership contribution.  They don't discriminate between contributors and freebies, but it does help with costs of running things.

I like this forum and appreciate the administrators, members, opinions, assistance, and entertainment.  I'll contribute.

In the past (when I would remember to go to Amazon Smile vs. the regular site), I have supported the forum when making purchases with Amazon. Lately, I have been supporting our community Veteran’s association. I would be happy to make an annual contribution if the administrators can provide a way to do that.

Regarding donations to support the forum, I (we) have offered but Steve and Michelle have declined, saying donations are not needed. I have asked them to please let us know if extra funds are needed. Aren't we fortunate?

"please consider using this link for Amazon purchases."

Will do! I'm happy to support this forum, because it and its members have supported me in my RV travels for almost twenty years.

I regularly add items to my Amazon cart. A quick jump over to LDOF and my saved “Support The Forum” link and I am immediately taken back to my Amazon account.

Quick as a wink I’m in my cart and my saved items are whisked off to me and with that a portion of my purchase price is automatically added to the LDOF coffers.

That being said if LDOF had a Patron link I’d be pleased to support the forums administration fees in this manner as well.

Happy New Year and long live our Lazy Daze family.

Exactly what I have done. Simple and quick.

Thanks to all of you for offering to support our admin costs. We're good for now.

As an alternative, if you would like to donate to the HiLola RV purchase fund, send me a message and I’ll let you know where to send a check! 😆

Steve and Michelle (and the entire gang),
As a new owner of a LD this year I can’t thank you enough for hosting this site and to all the expertise that has been shared. Our family had zero plans to own an RV at this age (I am 39 and my wife is 36 and we have an 11,9, & 2 year old). We had been planning on renting an RV when I participate in the bike ride across Iowa next summer (July 2020) known as RAGBRAI but the stars aligned and we found we wanted to buy an RV and all roads led to this site once I did homework and learned about the LD quality.
I can’t express how much we have learned and still need to learn!

Happy new year!
