Non-member Classified Listings for 2020
Someone in a recent thread (can’t find it now) mentioned that they had just been sent an order package for a new LD.  It appears LD is bypassing the 2020 models and going straight to 2021!  I’m wondering if the person who received the order package also received pricing info?

I think we can assume that since any model ordered now will be delivered in 2021, thus we are seeing 2021 prices.

I just pinned the price list so it will be more visible.

Thank you Mike and Chris! It was only a matter of time before all LD models would have a base price over $100K. The price increase on all models is substantially more this year than in years past!

Spoke to Todd a couple of months ago and he said build time is around 5 months..... did you mean anyone getting on the WAITING list now will take delivery in 2021?

Perhaps someone who has just been through the buying process can elaborate, but I understand the time from getting on the waiting list and then the down payment build list is around 18 months, which means the answer is yes to your question.

{I think we can assume that since any model ordered now will be delivered in 2021, thus we are seeing 2021 prices.}

It was Ford, not Lazy Daze that jumped over the 2020 model with their newly updated 2021 E450. So there will not be any 2020 LD coaches. The model year of the LD uses the Ford chassis model year. Todd said we should receive our 2021 coach sometime this summer depending when the 2021 chassis arrives.
Going by our experience of joining the waiting list in January '19 (or maybe Feb.), then receiving our order package on the 19th of Dec., and  If the chassis we specified (with the Ford options we wanted) is delivered sometime in Jan. 2020, that falls in line with what Todd said about the coach delivery timeframe. This also will have to take into account how many other orders are ahead of us. I know of one other person (a LD friend) that received his order package at the same time as ours. It will happen when it does. In the meantime I have a lot of projects to complete (maybe) before I can think about flying to CA.

Car/truck manufacturers have be doing this tick for years.  That is one of the reasons in California there are two dates on a car title - one the year brought and the other the year manufactured.   <smile> Or at least that was the way it was when I lived there.

It's true that the chassis/body build date is not necessarily the same as the model year date on one's registration, but only one date, the 'model' date (listed as 'year') appears on California registration forms.

about 10K difference between 2019 and 2021 LD price. i checked cutaway prices and for 2019, it is around 34K (2019 Ford® E-Series Cutaway | Models & Specs | Ford.com) and for 2021 comparable advertised number is 44K (Build and price your 2021 Ford E-Series Cutaway)

so additional 10K from 2019 to 2021 is going to Ford and not to LD.

PS: numbers are from different source so perhaps this comparison is meaningless ..

Ford used the V10 engine since 1997, recovering their investments many times over and allowing them to sell the chassis at a reasonable price.
With the new engine and transmission combination, along with the advance electronics, Ford once again needs to recoup the development money.
I need to drive a new V-8 LD to see if the increase in power and drivability is worth the increase .

Ford dealer for 2021 pricing info is in Canada .... With current conversion rate, I am not sure any more if there is any price increase from Ford. Not a waste though, I got some insight on new features.

Hi,
For us the total time (waiting list time plus build time for a TK) was 16 months. We got on the list in late July of 2018 and picked up our LD Nov. 2019. Hope this helps.

Glen, Carfax has the same info (all states).  Manufacturer year and purchase date.  So it is clear when the dealer warranty expires.  It is also shows when it was received by the dealer and if they transferred to to another dealer.
I found it to be handy information for used cars to see how old the vehicle really is (was it given to the dealer in Nov the year before the model year or Nov of the model year - a year difference in vehicle age).

This added information may help our other members:

I actually saw Christian's TK in Buckeye, Arizona at the end of October as my wife, Karen and I were on our way to visit family in Arizona.  This is/was a very nice, clean unit when we saw it.  We were the first to see it, I believe, and I thought he would have sold it quickly.  He told me later that he had taken it off the market to take another trip before relisting it again.  Christian leaves Az in the heat of the summers and travels in the RV.  As I recall, this was his first LazyDaze and he purchased due to the LD's reputation on build quality.  Reason given to me for selling:  "Great RV and build quality, but just a little too small."  He told me that he was looking to purchase a 35 foot diesel pusher.

Gary, now that you mention it I do recall seeing this unit earlier this year. I remember it was priced at $100,000 which I thought was a bit too high for a used unit, even considering the upgrades. The pricing is more favorable now.

I ordered my LD on January 10, 2020.  A Green RB, maple cabinetry, Mollusk (grey tweed) upholstery with Ford driver assist package, 2nd solar panel, backup camera, upgraded mirrors, and 2 extra 12v outlets.  I told Todd I have to take delivery after the end of August and that is what he put on the order form for approximate delivery.

There was some question about model year from y'all.  Ford has skipped the model year 2020 designation and LD is also designating its chassis and registration years as 2021.

I've attached scans of the 2021 pricing/features sheets and compared them to the 2019 ones. I checked the parts that are different from the last ones.

The engine is changed from 6.8L V-10, 305HP/420 ft.lb torque at 3250 RPM
to 7.3L V-8 Premium engine with 350HP/468 ft.lb torque at 3900RPM
and they added an auxiliary transmission cooler to the 6-speed transmission

There is an optional package of driver-assist tech.

TPMS is Ford factory installed.

Alternator goes from 155amp to 210amp.

There is no longer any carpet on the floor (confirmed by Todd), even in the cab.  House has 5" wide linoleum plank flooring, wood grain grey/tan combination. Cab has "easy maintenance insulated rubber cab flooring"

Vent fans are upgraded and have remote controls.  I asked about Fantastic Fan not being listed on the spec sheet and Todd said they were bought by Atwood who was bought by Dometic, so they're all the same now.

Solar panel is now listed as 115w

Kitchen sink is stainless, which I think was new in 2019.
