Holiday Greetings to all. My husband and I are driving our new LD home to Pennsylvania. We got lucky with the weather and are taking the northern route home - currently camping in Springfield, MO. As soon as I figure out how to post photos I will show off our beautiful new home on wheels. Feeling so grateful for this wonderful life.

Is this the date?
Who knew?
Or perhaps it should be 'Who Knows'?
No preaching here, just plain old curiosity!

A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our forum friends.
Here is a shot of the kids on Christmas morning.  They were thrilled with their new chew toys, cardboard boxes and wrapping paper  to tear up and scatter through the house, and were blessed with a rainy day providing mud and puddles in the yard to play in.  The two labs are 9 month-old brothers and were even worse than normal.  We acquired the pups at Morro Bay S.P. last May while camped with the Lazy Daze!

I'm guessing you have a heavy duty vacuum! Our daughter at one time had 3 labs. She filled a vac canister every day.

"I'm guessing you have a heavy duty vacuum! Our daughter at one time had 3 labs. She filled a vac canister every day."

With two Saint Bernards, we became accustomed to a white haze atop the green carpet!  Daily vacuuming was mandatory, but I could never really keep up, even at that pace.  We had two small poodles, too, and sometimes they lost their way in the "ground fog" of omnipresent hair.

"Went up to the Bay Area for Christmas and this is what we returned to."

It lasted for only a couple of hours, but we had some snow here in SE Arizona, too!  It melted off the ground and trees almost immediately (it was 40°), but early this morning, the Huachuca Mountains looked like this.

Virtual hugs,

Judie

Dog hair: moderately off topic:

I was making a relatively long offshore passage in rough seas and the bilge water alarm went off at the helm.  Cyndy took the helm and I ran around opening things to check for water entering the hull.
I finally found a bilge pump running under the spinning prop shaft, but completely dry bilge.  I removed the fuse and we continued without further problem.
When were at anchor, I took the pump apart and found the switch compartment stuffed with DOG HAIR.

I use and recommend the Zoom Groom (from Kong) for dogs with short to medium-length fur:

KONG Dog ZoomGroom Multi-Use Brush, Boysenberry - Chewy.com

My dog (a Red Heeler-Shorthaired Pointer cross) sheds - a lot! The 'brush' efficiently removes loose hair and is gentle on the dog's skin. My dog resists my every attempt to maintain her personal hygiene except this rubbery 'brush'.  (There's a 'cat Kong', too; works great.)

Watching the news reports of your weather with thanks that it appeared to be heading towards Nebraska & the Dakotas after it leaves Denver, instead of straight across Kansas to us.  I love Bing Crosby, but "I'm (no longer) Dreaming Of A White Christmas"--thankfully Kansas City was one degree off of breaking its record of 68 for the day, & it was dry--though today made a new record as the fourth wettest at 1.47" at KCI where the official rain gauge is for the KC metro.

We are on our usual Missouri rollercoaster--35 tomorrow (with lows in the 20s) & up to 50 on New Year's, the dropping precipitously through the end of the week.   Safe wishes for all who may be out in those who may be out in such deceptively beautiful conditions.
