Picking up our new LD on Thursday!
After several years of research, visiting the Mothership, and getting our name on the list....We are finally going to pick up our new LD on Thursday morning from the Mothership. For those wondering about the timeline we put our name on the list in August 2018. They have been great to work with. Thanks to all of you who share so much knowledge on this forum. I am sure we will have a lot more questions as time goes on. We ordered the green 24TK. For now I am just super excited to finally get to pick her up. Flying out first thing in the morning. So excited. BTW I saw a brown LD traveling westbound on I40 through Jackson, TN  last Thursday.

Lynn,

Appreciate the update and congrats!  As far as the timeline, how long was it from the time you placed your name on the list until you actually placed your order?  I'm going on 4 months and feeling like it may be soon, but not really sure....

Thanks,

Don

Hi Don, We called Todd on July 23, 2018 to get our names on the List. Todd called Feb. 11th. So about 6.5 to 7 months. Yeah, felt like an eternity!

Congrats!!! We love our TK. In the past we had an Alpenlite 5th wheel which was a quality build so we sure appreciate the obvious care Lazy Daze puts into theirs.

Congrats,  take notes on the walk thru - better yet video it.
Be careful and don't hurt your back trying to pick it up - that thing is HEAVY.
Best just drive it off.

Good luck and see you down the road.

Excited to see pictures! Congrats! Yea it would be awesome if Lazy Daze would allow a member to record the walkthrough so we could get a first person glimpse into how it goes.

Congratulations!!!  One of our most exciting days over the last few years was picking up Bossa Nova on June 12, 2017.   We love her and have enjoyed every one of the 25,000 miles we've put on her so far.  Enjoy your travels.

Congratulations! Ask lots of questions and I learned to never be in a hurry driving my LD! I remember my first time at the mothership, the build quality of the floor models was amazing

We ordered white/gray  2018 27' mid bath 1/3/18 and we are hoping for a July 16th 2019 delivery, sold, and tried a Lithium Travato, wish  I would have kept the Lazy Daze 27’

I was afraid someone would ask. We are NOT very creative people. Sooo.... we call her Daisy. 🤣
I had the same issue. I started to refer to it as Our Rig Without A Name with a nod to the former mayor of Carmel.
It's name now is ORWAN (Our Rig Without A Name).  It has not told me its gender yet....

Joel, like a ship, it’s a she. She has berthing, she has a galley, she has a head (water closet), she has a helm . . . you get the idea.  :)

I see your point, and the first similarity of a Lazydaze to a ship is where 'BOAT' is an acronym for 'Break Out Another Thousand'.
But genderization of an item is a cultural thing.  For some things there is history and tradition. Russian ships are always 'he'.
It is a bit up in the air for newer items, for example there the question of computer gender was posed here...

As for ships, glossophilia.org (love of knowledge) has this

There are other oars in the water like
here
or here

but that does not address the question of a terrestrial vessel.    Lacking tradition to fall back on, I will just continue to listen and wait for ORWAN to enlighten me.

Perhaps it’s gender-neutral, like our “Albatross.”  😉  —Jon
(Former) ‘06 TK “Albatross.” And (former) Vespa 250.   Alas, no more; both are gone.😕 Great memories remain! 😄
