How can we see an LD???
Hi Everyone,

After literally years of research, my wife and I decided to take the plunge and add our names to Todd's infamous waiting list.

We are leaning towards the 27' MB, however living in NC, neither of us has ever seen a LD.  Before we get the call, we are hoping for the opportunity to view one in person.  We are aware of the Fall rally in GA, but just can't make it.  We visited the Raleigh RV show last night, and are now second guessing ourselves (again).

We are in the Raleigh/Durham/Greensboro area if this may work with anyone's schedules.

Thanks so much,

Don & Marie

If you do not see and inspect a Lazy Daze before you lay your money down you will regret that missed opportunity! You can afford to wait.   ::)   ;)

DWebster11,
If you click on 'Community' on the top bar,  you will find a drop down menu.
One item on it is 'Member Map'
I took a look and there are 4 listings in the general Raleigh area and more further away
Click on one and send the owner a private message.
If you want to wait till Thanksgiving,  I plan to be in the area visiting family.

You can also do a post in the general area - such as around the campfire asking if you can see someone's LD.  Many people are glad to show them.   Include in the topic... Looking for (model name(s) ) in the Raleigh/Durham/Greensboro area so people know to look at the post if they are in your area/going thru your area.

Not everyone includes where they live in their profile so they don't show on the map, and not everyone reads/ get notices about new posts for all the forums.

That was how we found ones to look at (before their was forums for the various area groups).

For some reason that has disappeared from my MacBook Pro...It used to be there & I'd included my "pin" up here in the boonies of north Missouri.  Now I just have blank white screen under both the Map section, as well as the Member Pin section on the right  :P --not only do I not know where anybody else is, I don't even know where I am  ;)  ??? .  I remember reading about pirate treasure maps & disappearing ink as a kid, but I don't understand how the map & member pixels disappeared from the computer screen...

All map skill suggestions appreciated.  Thx.

Lynn, it still works on my imac.  Upper left of this page, choose community then member map.
Did you try different browsers?
I mostly use Firefox but I have security high for that including not showing images always, and so sometimes using a different browser where I don't have all the security high works better for some web pages.

Don and Marie.  If you don't mind driving a bit, the North East LD group is having our annual Fall meeting next week in Cooperstown NY.  We expect to have a number of different rigs there, usually with differing floor plans.  We will be at the Cooperstown KOA starting Wednesday, Sep. 11 to Sunday Sep. 15.  We expect other wannabes to attend.  You can join us for the whole time or just part of the time, whatever your schedule permits.  Usually we have open-house on Sat. mornings.  There are events planned for most days.  Hope to see you!

BTW, you might want to take in the Baseball Hall of Fame while in town.

Hi, Jane--

Yes, I know how to get to where the member map should be--& used to be when I first entered my data.

I use Safari...LDO opens automatically when I click on the bookmark.  I will try Firefox if I can find my LDO password.

Thx--

Lynne, I was just confirming as I thought there were 2 ways to see that member map so I was saying how I found it.
I just tried safari, it worked ok for me....

Now I went back and read things... I think I remember that 2nd menu list under the home button disappearing on me at some point, so I didn't see the items underneath it.  But it was several months ago and I don't remember doing anything to get it back.... I am thinking it just showed back up one day after several weeks (not sure if there was a software update somewhere along the way).  But you can see that list so your issue is different ....

Hi, Jane--

RE: "... the home button disappearing on me at some point, so I didn't see the items underneath it.  But it was several months ago and I don't remember doing anything to get it back.... I am thinking it just showed back up one day..."

I have at times been blest with the spontaneous regeneration of inanimate objects; other times I don't remember which button I pushed, or in what sequence, but the squirrels miraculously start running again (under the hood, inside the laptop. etc.)...and I am left with a certain amount of befuddlement.   ???   On a happier note, I did figure out how to change the fuel filter & clean the air filters on my Baby Deere the other day, so I didn't have to search out some goats to graze off my yard, so there's hope I'll find the Member Map again someday.  ;D

Thx--
