Heading to the Mothership Friday - Do You Have Questions for Them?
We''ll be visiting the factory this coming Friday.
We're planning to take a  long look and anticipate adding our names to the wait list for a new mid-bath.

Sure would appreciate any suggestions as to questions we should be asking.

Or happy to pose any questions someone else would like to have asked - I'll add your questions to my list and report later.

TIA,
Kitty

Probably too soon but could you inquire if they have any advance info on the 2021 Ford chassis, specifically how it might affect Lazy Daze’s specifications in the future? Thank you!

Congratulations on deciding on a Lazy Daze. The Mid-Bath is a good, and the most popular choice. The wait may seem to be a long one but it is worth it when the call comes. We've owned three LDs and a couple of SOBs (some other brand). We always came back to the LD.

Don't let the "Look" of the factory and showroom discourage you. It looks the same as it did when we bought our first 17 footer in the early 70s from Ed and Paul Newton. They still build the finest Class C available.

Ask if the end caps could be redesigned or changed in a way the would minimize cracking.     Frank

Think of the end caps as a “feature” instead of a flaw, kinda like Lake Newton. 😉

It would be nice if you could inquire about the new drive train. How will the 7.3 v-8 effect the price? Which transmission will be available?

I’d expect price increases across the board, and would be very surprised if Steve provided any “answers” to the questions about the new Ford itself, but one can always ask! 😉

I agree, Joan but figured what the heck, it couldn't hurt to ask.

I am curious, though, if the Mothership ever got one of those new-fangled answering machines in the office?  :D

Somehow I doubt it... my experience is that the phone will ring until Vicky picks it up and redirects your call.  ::)

Apparently, they'll get the spec sheet for the new engine this fall. They don't anticipate this will change the chassis.

Thanks, Kit! Did you get on the waiting list? If so, what is the anticipated wait time?

I did get on the waitlist, but wasn't given an estimate beyond the usual 12-18 months.

Currently many more than usual, about half, on the waitlist are saying they no longer want a LD when they get the call (already found a used one, bought something else..) and many are failing to call LD to update their status, making it harder to nail down an estimate.

Guess we'll wait and see :-)

We'll be delighted whenever it's our turn.
