Hi Lazy Daze Forum,

I'm not sure if this is permitted here or not but since it has to pass by a moderator anyway, I thought I'd ask. I have a 1995 LD for sale. I just posted it on RV Trader 2 days ago.  I thought people here might like to see it too.  I am willing to negotiate on price but am also trying to pay off student loans so they aren't still hanging over my head in a couple of years for retirement.    It's a good solid mechanically sound RV.  Here is the link, if permitted to post it here:

Unless the refrigerator was replaced, the 2003 has a 2-way refrigerator, not a 3-way.

The ad also show the rig having a 460 engine and oak cabinets, none of which were available in 2003.
It's probably being sold by an unknowing dealer. Don't expect any straight information on this one.

And of course the chassis is an E(conoline)450. The engine is a 415 CID, or 6.8 liters displacement V10.
The 450 refers to the chassis type and not the size of the engine.
I've had, on at least two occasions, people ask me why I have a sticker that says V10 next to my E350 Ford insignia. I think they thought that with the E350, that I had the smaller 350 CID engine (Chevy) even though I have a Ford chassis. RonB

That plaid!

I could scroll through these pictures all day. But the listing doesn't mention registration status, and the DMV fees lookup site can't find a matching record.  :-\

And who can resist that dayglo orange paint!  😄

I liked the brochure statement: “spacious ‘lady in mind’ kitchens.” 👌

The seller did an excellent job on their ad!  👍

LAZY DAZE 22-LOADED-LOW MILES-INSPECTED-EXTRA CLEAN-RARE FIND-NO RESERVE | eBay

States in the ad, "NOT been professionally inspected".
"Seller Notes “We recommend you inspect the vehicle first hand or have a professional inspect the vehicle prior to the listing ending."
The 'inspected' listing probably means the dealer looked at it and deemed it ready for a quick sale.
With price this low, and assuming it runs, odds are it will soon be parked in a commercial zone soon in the SoCal area, adding to the IFT population.

Is that day glo orange an original color or a previous owner repaint job?

Nope, burnt orange was one of the available colors back in the early 1980's, our 1983 FL had burnt orange stripes.
We had friends who owned an 1985 burnt orange T/K that we use to camp with, parked next to each other they were quite a sight to behold.

Larry, I like your color better.  That Day Glo orange (and many of the interior colors of that LD for sale) just hurt my eyes.  We are all different, that is why non neutral color schemes are best for things that can't be easily changed and individual preferences are for throw pillows and rugs, etc.  that are easy to change. :D

Our previous camper had most of the same interior colors, outside was more subtle. A guy can sure get over the late 70's and early 80's color scheme in a heck of a hurry. Sure nice shape though, gonna be interesting to see what it sells for in the end.

The burnt orange was very bright when new, before the paint oxidized.
In the 1980's LD used acrylic paint for the stripes which didn't have the long life that the newer polyurethane paint does.

Our 1983 LD was twelve years old when we bought it and the orange stripes had alreadyfailed. With a wax job, it would look good for about a day. And if you liked the orange stripes, you would have loved the orange and brown shag carpet, the matching materials and valences. The interior was totally stock when we sold it in 2002 and nothing was worn badly, just a little darker looking , the same phenomenon that I see in all aging LDs.

Photos the week it was sold, before the arrival of the 2003.

But, that ‘83 had a stainless steel sink! Too bad you couldn’t have swapped that out with the acrylic sink in your ‘03 before selling the orange bomb! 😉

I forgot about the stainless steel sink, sure wish we had one now.
The 1983 was an OK motorhome, it needed an engine with more power and an overdrive gear in the transmission.
Our 2003 LD, on the E450, was a huge upgrade from the Chevy G30 and its blazing 165-HP V8. The 1983 LD was a slow vehicle, I owned Volkswagens with more go power and I do not miss the carburetor one bit.

Larry, I could live with your interior.  Neon bedspreads are a bit too much for me. :o   But I admit I would be covering the seats and replacing window curtains.

The 1983's retro interior alway bought a smile to visitors, we saw no reason the cover the chairs or couch, the upholstery materials were bullet proof and cleaned up well. The photos provided show the rig when it was 19 years old with a 115,000 miles. The interior was in great shape, the chassis was wearing out and needed a full rebuild, including an engine.
I considered building a more powerful engine and adding a 4L80E overdrive transmission but when the estimated cost hit near 10K, ordering a new LD, on the E450 chassis, seemed to be a better choice...it was.

We still have our 84 itaska SOB but it has been relegated to Tool and material storage on site where we are building our Son's tiniHouse in Warrenton Oregon.  We originally thought we would use it as a bunk & bath house but in January we were moved outside of our secure warehouse.  The 84 with a tarp over it offered a more secure tool & materials storage and we can bunk in our 98~MB.  our 84 is mostly original and we discovered that if you have a black light on at night the materials have a psychedelic pattern that shows up well under black light!  Sorry if I appear to slightly alter the direction of this thread but we just Love the 80s RVs and the funk that goes with them...
