It doesn’t seem that the asking prices on these last three coaches are lining up very well with the recent price chart provided here. Wondering why?  One of them is @ $10K over.

Yea Dale I don’t see very many that do. Unless they are trashed. And I avoided posting the ones that looked totally abused. And sense I already have a LD I personally don’t mind seeing the high prices on the used market. I believe it has a lot to do with supply and demand. So few used rigs for sale across the country and long wait times for new. I totally get people asking premium prices. And I notice most seem to sell quickly.

If the rigs are listed in the "Non-members" category, links to the ads have been found by our forum members on sources outside of this forum and posted for general interest. The rigs in question may be advertised by an owner, or by a family member or friend of the owner, or be consigned to a dealer; it's unlikely that the people who place the original ads are on this forum.  There is no way for a person who is not a subscriber to the LDO forum to have access to the price chart, so they get their figures from other sources.

Rigs offered for sale by forum members may also show "optimistic" asking prices; even if a forum member knows the price chart exists and checks it for a starting asking price point, s/he may still place an unrealistic value on a rig, perhaps hoping for a buyer who is not aware of the amount of depreciation affecting RVs (yes, even LDs!), and is willing to pay what is asked. Some sellers overvalue the model and their aftermarket add-ons and some are upside down on a loan and need X number of sale dollars to pay it off. There are a lot of reasons why an owner may price his/her rig at a certain level, and, in the end, a rig (and anything else) is "worth" what it will sell for.

YMMV, as ever.  ;)

We are going to check this one out today99 lazy daze rv - rvs - by owner - vehicle automotive sale

Apparently it’s a RK which I am excited to see but my wife not so much lol. I went on the Lazy Daze website and the RK doesn’t show up anymore, did they discontinue it?  I looked through the changes over the years page and didn’t see any mention that it stopped production but maybe I missed it.

Apparently this is the third owner of 4 years. Has new tires, front shocks and batteries and just got back from a trip to AZ. Downsides for us are no solar panels and a torn awning. I was thinking that based on the LD price guide and addictions for tires shocks etc but subtracting the awning it should be worth more like $18.5k ( I have also seen some 26s listed in the 18-22k range). We will see.

The RK was the least popular model and was discontinued a few years ago, I think. I got to see one in person at the open house period in Morro Bay a couple years ago. I kind of liked it but DW did not so that’s that, lol!

I *think* that 2016 was the last year for the Rear Kitchen model. And, no, the model discontinuation information is not in the "Changes by Year" doc.

Yea Greg I like the RK too my 2nd favorite. But the wife not so much. My least favorite is the 26.5 island bed. But I don’t think they made many of those either.

2005 was the last model year for the Island Bed.

I agree, Lynn. Not enough utility in that model for me. Then again, DW would love the full-time bed, I’m sure!

Or maybe the asking prices should be lowered. ;) Remember, the price chart is a guide.

Hey Duro what didn’t your wife like about the RK?  I am a little worried that if we buy it we will have a hard time selling it because they were obviously the least desirable since they discontinued them.

She just really loved the Midbath floor plan and didn’t want to settle for anything else.

That's funny how the wifes don't like that floor plan mine doesn't like the kitchen being in the rear also the 1999 that's advertised is asking way to much.

While RKs are rare, those who own them, love them.
I doubt selling any LD, priced right and in good condition, is gong to be hard .
Today is a seller's market.

The gray doesn’t bother me nearly as much as the swoops & swirls LoL. I’m a traditional paint fan.
