California...We're in California too. We have Progressive through Miller Insurance Agency .Haven't had to use it so can't personally vouch for their performance. Re: Insurance for Class C Reply #4 – January 27, 2019, 12:55:09 am I just posted about this the other day. I have a 91 and live in Oakland, CA. My car insurance went up when I moved to this zip code from just 7 miles away. So rates in my area are higher than even other parts of the Bay Area. I got National General through Good Sam's Club last February. I paid about $440 which includes comprehensive. I think it's a $1k deductible. I then proceeded to back into a telephone pole, smashing the ladder into the rear and causing a hole. Then I tried to squeeze between the gateposts in my driveway and smooshed in the compartment doors on the side. Someone here suggested calling my insurance and I didn't think they'd cover. It. The investigator that came out was great, and the total cost to repair was estimated at $7k or so. After my deductible they sent me checks totaling just under $6k. I fully expected my rates to increase outrageously. I just got my renewal quote and it only went up $50!!! I don't understand it, but I am going to see what they'd charge for my corolla because my RV insurance is less than what i pay for basic liability on my 2006 Corolla. So though I don't like insurance companies, based on my experience so far, I have to recommend National General through Good Sam's.

Just type "RV insurance" in the search bar; the thread will come up. Check the dates of the replies; search results are not delivered in chronological order, e.g., newest responses first.
Re: Insurance for Class C Reply #7 – January 27, 2019, 09:34:23 pm I use Allstate to insure both my car and my '06 Lazy Daze here in Oregon. My RV policy is about $600/yr BUT Allstate lets me suspend the collision insurance when I am not using my RV, so this brings the total cost down to between $150 - $200 per year. They even let me notify them by phone when I am planning to take my rig for service for a day or two and they don't bother charging me for the collision portion during those days. Mike S.
