Photos from the LDO Media Files
Do any of the LDO Faithful recognize this group of fine looking people?  And if so, for those of us who are a long distance from any LDO gatherings, it would be very special to put faces with names.

This photo is from the 2008 Morro Bay GTG.
From right to left.
Myself, Joe and Karen Hamm, unknown man, Mike Schafer, Loni Calhoun, Armando Flores, Barbara Berggreen, Renee Rockower-Wade (my wife),
unknown child, Art Berggreen, Linda Flores, Pat Macias, Sally Caulfield, Gene Caulfield (with Gypsy).
The two couples on the left side look familiar but neither of us can put a name on them.
Since Jon Calhoun is missing, he may be taking the photo.
Now you know what some of us looked like ten years ago.

The MB GTG is less than two months away, it's always a good time.
See you there.

One of the Faithful taking a nap (not me)!  I know the feeling which made me laugh.

Looks like Andy Baird, working inside the rear compartment on a 31' IB, with the side to side crawl through passage.

Kate and Terry supposedly still own their LD but none of us have seen them out in years.

I think they are trying to unload/sell all the 1000s of Disney collectibles she's acquired over the years.

"...but none of us have seen them out in years."

The last time I seen Kate and Terry was at an Albuquerque Balloon Fest years ago.

It was they who came up to visit and view my '04 30' prior to their purchase, a twin bed as I recall.   8)

Yup, that was me, installing a 12 V outlet for Kate & Terry in their 2005 31' TB. Haven't heard from them in ten years or so...

I seem to recall that they returned to Felton, down in the Red Woods above Santa Cruz where they had lived before.   :)

Definitely isn't Nancy, unless she is standing on a box.
I think she is Emily Chanler, husband's name is Steve, from the Bay area.. We have not seen them for several years.
Art got the rest of the names correct.

Yes, Emily Chandler; thanks, Larry. I think they sold their LD a few years ago.

You and Margée need to come to Morro Bay in March and meet some of us.
It would give you a chance to put faces to some of the folks you meet here on the forum.
The spring is great time for a road trip and the Central Coast will be beautiful, start packing!

An interesting Group of LD Owners from 9 years ago standing in front of a fine looking Rig.  I can only guess who is who?

Ed, you do excavate the most interesting things.

This gathering  was at the 2010 Morro Bay get-together, according to the photo date and based on the surroundings and the women in the photo.

With the exception of Karen Hamm and Emily Chanler, everyone else shown still owns an LD and could show up at Morro Bay again this year.
I know several have made reservations  .

Pat and Doris went over to the dark side and now have Escape trailers, but they may join some of the others at Morro Bay who also strayed from the LD fold.  ;)  In the end, it's about the people, not just their rig choice!

Whoops, forgot about the defections but my feeling is the LD Alumni that show up at the GTGs are still true Lazydazers at heart.
Doris and Pat wore their rigs out and didn't want to drive big motorhomes anymore. I'm not sure if the Tribbets still own one or if they bought a Newmar, along with several other ex-LD owners. Either way, they always show up and are long term members of the group.

Every year, the MB GTG has one or two more Newmars. They seem to be fairly well screwed together and are nice to look at, qualities the owners learned to look for after owning LDs.
Most are just looking for a permanent queen or king bed and to have a little more interior room and a larger cargo capacity than the 31' LDs .
