"Be safe, this is an advanced shade tree mechanic's job, there are a lot of way to get hurt."

I really hope that anyone working on any vehicle will heed Larry's caution and use the proper techniques and equipment to lift and stabilize a vehicle when working under it. IMO, using heavy duty jacks and jack stands are in the same category as having a heavy-duty "job matched" truck; one can't have too much "lift" or truck power!

Here is the update on the fuel pump replacement job.  I inquired at the Ford dealership for a new fuel pump and they would gladly take $500 plus for one, "NO THANKS"  I got one from Rockauto.com for $278.78 Motorcraft PFS20.  It was no easy task, but the husband stuck with it and put up with 29 to 32 deg. weather and some snow flurries to boot. Replaced a fuel line to the generator and completed the job.  She is back in her garage for the winter all nice and warm.
He followed instructions and suggestions from some of you that have had the pleasure of doing this job. I thank you and I appreciate the wealth of knowledge in this group.
With my rig getting on in years (2000) I'm sure she will be needing more things replaced or repaired, and I will turn to the group for help and advice. You all are the best.
Happy New Year and safe travels,
Marilyn
