Huh? "Guys" certainly can be rug savvy, but JCT is not a "guy"!   :o

And, JCT knows rugs! Indoor, outdoor, throw, and most others, too, including the indisputable certainty  that the dog and cat will always choose the carpeted surface to puke on, disdaining anything that can be hosed off or thrown in the washing machine. See? Do I know rugs, or what?!   ;)

When Joan graciously gave us a tour of her TK at the Morro Bay meet last year, I can assure you she was a gal (she is the one in the back)!

My bad.  I'll do the requisite 20 push-ups-punishment, right after I finish this !!

My Dear Mother, “Joan” [pronounced Jo Ann by her DM and herself but certainly not her teachers, at least not at first] was very savvy to the world of rugs and dog “upsies”.

Back in the day when hand hooked rugs were in fashion, my Mom hooked rugs till late in the day. While she did make several “floor models” of hooked rugs, her best work was hung on the walls. Pretty spectacular works of art.

I sure wish I had one of her creations.

Oh well, I did inherit her proclivity for pets. And I’m pretty good at cleaning spots out of our throw rugs, dog beds and carpet.

So, I’ve got that going for me anyway.

I understand but will still use my screen name.  In this world of online presence I do try to protect myself. It may be in vain but let me have this illusion of safety. I hope that does not to offend anyone.
And remember that gender does not accurately reflect what peoples tastes, skills or attitudes can be.
I am equally comfortable with a spatula or a hammer.  You can find me sewing or sanding.

Of course there is no offense. Each to her/his own.

I agree and me too! My parents knew I was going to be problem when I wanted a bride doll AND a train set for Christmas.  (for the younger members, bride dolls were THE thing for girls back in the early 50's)

Just thought some might be interested.

Couple nights ago we had torrential rains, and the swamp cooler and forward vent got swamped and leaked profusely into the coach. I had area rugs on the floor and they got SOAKED, but the COACH CARPET STAYED DRY!!! All that water and it didn’t seep through.!!!

I hung the soaked rugs over the fence to dry, it only took 2 hours and they were completely dry. They came out fine, no puckers or water marks.

The sizes are good for RVs, you can get a 3 rug set, delivered for under 100 bucks. They’re well made, not too ugly, don’t smell funny and can be washed with a pressure sprayer.

Alice, not that its a competition but I'm 150 miles from a stop light and 20 miles from me is supposed to be the farthest spot in the lower 48 from a Walmart/McDonalds. I am terrified of driving in heavy traffic! Me, who drove a cattle truck through Reno-Virginia Street! As I have gotten older I am not as confident, maybe because I know more-)

Says Chris with the gender ambiguous name  ;)
And my wife is Pat. We do our best to confuse. My neighbor of 14 years still calls me Pat most of the time. During Army times in Germany in '64 or so, someone who had had too much to drink christened us Piss and Crat. Believe me, that stuck around for the rest of the tour.

And you look BOTH ways with a one-way street!  Working on an ambulance taught me that one early on.
