Amazon Link
I just found out about the Amazon Link. After I placed an order. I am not sure how to use the link. I have clicked on the obvious buttons. Please give me a hint and I will go through this site. Does everything you purchase give a credit or just RV type stuff? Thanks

Hi Sharon. As far as I know, you access Amazon through the link at the top of LDOF by clicking on it. Then order what you want. It will look normal to you because the 'cookies' on your computer are what Amazon uses to make your experience look like what you are used to. A 'very small' percentage of whatever you buy goes back to the club. That applies to everything, not just RV stuff.   Thanks for using that link, It is what pays for server time and storage costs. Well, I never used any Amazon link through this site, and in my browser, at least, I have no idea where to find it. I do not see it anywhere on this site.

Ahh, finally found it. A suggestion for webmasters - make the link a button in the main menu bar that appears throughout the site's pages. I spend almost all my time in Forums, and that way it would be easy to find when I would most likely be ready to order something related to some post I just read. Even better, make it automatically open a new browser tab too.

Good suggestion, Steve, which I will pass on.

I have LDOF set to open on the "home" page (on my computer) which shows the most recent posts. Then, of course, the Amz link is visible under the banner photo. You must have yours set to open on the Forum page.

The one that starts with Community, Forum, Admin, etc., right?

Once I found the link,  I put it on the bookmarks toolbar that shows at the top of the firefox browser.  Faster than typing in 'amazon.com'

Perhaps you tried the "Amazon Link" appearing at the top of this Thread? That is not a link - that is the title of this thread! I fell for that too. Go to the 'Community' link instead of these forums to find it.

Good move, Joel.

FYI, I am in discussion with Steve about adding the direct link to Amazon a few other places on the forum to make it more visible and accessible. The administrators and moderators really appreciate members' participation in using the Amz. link to offset admin expenses for LDOF.

Wonder if there is some way to adjust my Amazon account to always use the link?

Open it via the forum link, drag link address to your shortcut box/bar on home page and then change name to Amz.
