Patricia, welcome to the Lazy Daze Owners' Forum. I hope we can help you. What floor plan do you have?Assuming you have a Fiamma awning, I suggest you go to their website Superior Quality Products for Motorhomes, Caravans and Camper Vans - Fiamma , find your model and see if you can find the operating manual. If it is a Fiamma, the supports should be folded into (stored) the front rail of the awning and all you have to do is pull them out and slip them into the support brackets on the side of the LD. You have to make sure the awning is far enough extended to do this.Chris

Here's a link to the manual: https://www.fiammausa.com/image/data/ISTRUZIONI/FiammaStore/98690-741_revL.pdf if you have a model F45S. On page 14 you'll find a drawing of the support brackets being removed from the front rail and used in a vertical position. On page 20 there is a diagram of them being used attached to the sides into the brackets.Chris
Re: Awning supports out? 1987 Reply #3 – September 23, 2018, 11:56:24 pm There are two red knobs inside the front rail. Each is located near the end of the rail, and need to be loosened before the adjacent 'knuckle' can be rotated a little, toward the motorhome, to allow the arm to be unhooked and swung out toward the ground. This wasn't described very well in the Fiamma directions. It is a lot easier than it sounds; once you do it it will make more sense. RonB
Re: Awning supports out? 1987 Reply #4 – September 26, 2018, 04:04:28 pm Thank you all for your help. I actually have a Holiday model and it is spring loaded. I suppose there were once knobs to move the springs left and right to unleash the legs which are now gone, a screwdriver worked. The advice to look the model number and manufacturer up on the net helped. Thanks again!
Re: Awning supports out? 1987 Reply #5 – September 27, 2018, 10:39:59 am My 1988 has an “Instamatic” awning by Dominetic. I purchased square metric tubing online and dometic stud knobs when my knobs were rusted in place. Use a thicker wall tube and plain nuts to replace the “ Rivnuts.” The elastic lock nuts in the knob kit are used to press against the larger slotted square tube. Here are the installation instructions. Parts are not available. If I find the *.df of the parts I will post it.
Re: Awning supports out? 1987 Reply #7 – September 27, 2018, 01:58:27 pm Patricia (?), you list your rig as 'Rear Bath', and Chris Horst has corrected that to FL, or front lounge. This is correct if your bath spans the entire rear, but if you do NOT have a pair of barrel chairs behind the driver's seat, and the bath only spans about half the back, then you have a Multiplan (MP). I bring this up because assistance available on this forum is far more helpful if your rig floorplan and year is properly identified.Steve
