So, Lynne, where's a photo of that 4-legged alarm you keep talking about?

Chris

Chris, I'm such a dinosaur...no cell phone, much less a smart one with a camera, no iPad, & I've not yet invested in a digital camera (my cousin found a local newspaper, in my aunt's town, where he had the scrapbooks digitized/put on a thumb drive and I just paid the tab).  I thought of using the camera in the Macbook with Photobooth, but haven't payed with it--one of these days I'll catch up to the 21st century...   :-[

I love the shots that everyone shares of their babies (with construction dust masks/hats/behind the camera/just lounging about in various states of cuteness).

I have met Lynne's 4-legged alarm and can report that she is real, not a figment of imagination.  She is small but efficient.

Worked with a lot of  Belgian Malinois and they are AMAZING dogs, but I couldn't live with one, they seldom come with an "off switch"!!

Indeed this one most assuredly didn’t come with an off switch, takes a lot of work and exercise to keep her behaving like a good citizen. If she’s worked and excersized there isn’t a sweeter more behaved dog.

Amazing dogs!! So smart and athletic. A trainer we worked with had one trained for French Ring Sport. The first dog I saw go over a 8'  smooth vertical wall.

Our furry friend is named Dax.  She is our fourth cockapoo.  Sweet, lovable, loyal, stubborn, finally growing up, (she is 3) knows when I take the camper keys out and I start loading for a trip,  is very disappointed if she is left at home when the boat leaves the dock, great with the grand kids, wasn't going to get another dog but missed the companionship.

She loves to travel with us, we say she runs as far as we drive because she plays fetch, front to back, as we drive.  Likes my lap best to see out as we go.  We always think about if we can leave her in the LD,  Find a shade tree to park under.   Love the LD since it stays comfortable for her for a long time.

The cab exterior cover keeps her calmer since it limits her outside stimulus, with rear blinds down she stays comfortable for a long time.

Not in the Lazy Daze, but always with us, watching, and underfoot...

Toby was a rescue; as in we heard he was being mistreated (starved, dirty, and neglected, 50% of normal body weight). We showed up at the property and asked to see him, and put him in my truck less than an hour later. Two months ago I put him down after 7 years of travels and daily companionship.  I'm watching the local shelters for another...

Blessed be the lovers of rescued pets. We, too, have had several rescued companions.

Like your Toby, our Muppet was a rag tag mess. Dirty and flee ridden dejected, frightened and alone in her darkened and blind world.

When my DW found her on adoption day at Petsmart, I was reluctant to accept a third furry friend into our home. A blind dog scared me even more. What was I thinking? Bad on me. Once I saw her, I fell madly in love. Now she brings continual joy to our home.

We have always received unending love from our rescued four footed friends.

This is one of my favorite comics.  It is hanging, with others, on our refrigerator door.

Sue,
Sidra looks like a perfect companion in the Lazy Daze.  I do notice that we have the same interior designer for setee coverings.  Same reasons, as well.

Have you ever been up north on HWY-1, between Faria and Hobson??

Alice - We drive by all the time on our way north (we prefer the slower 101 route to I5) and look west with desire. We've never camped there though. Have you?

Toby - It sure does look as if we share the same interior designer... does she work for wine and hugs... oh wait, that's me!

"Have you ever been up north..."

That, to me, is a curious choice of words. Maybe it depends on your point of reference, like San Diego? Most Californians would consider that Central Coast. Perhaps the following link will clear up the distinctions.   ;)   ;D

OK finished the research and it appears that Central California is STILL north of Southern California.  I even double checked on google earth. Yep. Faria is north of San Diego. I have an old compass from my SAR K9 days, would you like it?

Now that is perspective.....

My rule-of-thumb is So. Call is south of the Tehachapies.
Central Cal is fuzzy,  somewhere around a line thru Salinas.
Sacramento is in No. Cal,  which also includes The State of Jefferson

I'd put Faria in So. Cal, but north of  Sandy Eggo.
With 38,000,000 residents,  there are probably over 10,000,000 lines.
Here is one set with which  I don't necessarily agree

Naah! You can keep it, it would just get me lost!

One thing about California, all you've got to do is follow the coast and you've seen it all.  ;D

Are you aware that much of the CA coast runs east and west, particularly in the poorer part of the state, SoCal.   8)
