Share Request for 1992 Owners Manual

Hi!
I scanned past posts on the topic of needing an owner's manual and found this;

So, does anyone have an owner's manual for a 1992, 26.5, rear bath model they would like to share?

Best I could find online is a 1996 E350 Owner's Manual, Ford's website stops at 1996.
Much should be the same.

I'm looking for the manual that deals with the cabin. The one that would contain info on all the interior systems, their location, use and maintenance.

You need the LD Owner's Manual, maybe someone here has a copy they can send you.
LD has not authorized us to copy and provide them in the Forum's files but a private individual LD owner can copy and send you one, if available.

LD produces one manual each year to cover all the available floor plans.
Any 1992 Owners Manual will the same, no matter what floor plan the original owner bought.
Owner manuals from a 1992 will be similar, or the same, as the year or two before and after.
The Manuals do not change much from year to year due to the consistency of the builds, LD changes things very slowly.
You would find much in common between a 1992 manual and one from a 2018 LD.

Do not expect much information on the LD's construction or how the rig is wired, it doesn't have as-built wiring diagrams or where the wiring is actually located, something many owners wish it had.
For example, the location or existence of the primary circuit's hidden circuit breaker is not included.

The manual is more oriented toward how to operate and maintain the various systems and not toward repairs or future modifications.
Most of the information provided in the manual can be found on the net, with some research, or on this forum.
That said, it is one of the better RV manuals around.

Then I think I will get the '95 Manual which LD has. It costs 80 bucks and the gu I spoke to at LD couln't tell me if it would be applicable to the '92 model, so I didn't get it at the time. From what you've explained, sounds like it will be worth the bucks.

And for $80.00 (seriously!?), using web searches and the various resources on this forum to find out information needed are far more productive than shelling out eighty bucks, IMO. (Even if your rig didn't come from the previous owners with appliance and systems "literature", most manufacturers keep archives of downloadable product manuals in PDF.)

I decided to buy a 1995 Manual from LD, its 80 bucks (incl shipping). Many people have said it should be pretty useful for a '92 because things don't change much in the cabin areas of the units. For my chassis, I use Ford on line and I also got a Chilton for the year I have.
Do you need any help with finding those? Just let me know I'll message you with links and contact info.

I have not been able to find about half of the stuff I want/need to know using google and LD forums/sites. For example, there are 2 switches in the location shown in photo, one operates the bunk fan but I have yet to find out what the other switch operates.

I hope you are not disappointed in the Owners Manual, it doesn't reveal all the secrets or much information pertaining to any particular floor plan, it's a one-size-fits-all manual.

BTW, the second switch is for the night light located just above the floor, somewhere in the middle of the rig..
Many times the switch's purpose isn't obvious because it is either too bright inside to see the night light or the bulb is burned out. Many have owned their LD for years before discovering what the switch does.
Others have been surprised when they eventually find the 120-volt receptacle under the upper kitchen cabinet.

The nightlight in the center of my rig, (across from the dinette) is operated by one of the 2 switches at the ENTRANCE above the fire extinguisher. It is the left one, closest to outside of bus. It also operates another nightlight right under the fire extinguisher - to light the steps as well as the light above the door outside.

The switch - in the overhead bunk area, (as shown in original post) if it TOO operates a night light in another center part of the bus, must be burned out. I was not able to find any OTHER night lights but the ones operated by the left switch at the entrance.

So any suggestions on where to look or what the bunk switch might be for if not a night light?

BTW; the right switch by the door operates a light above the dinette, that can not be turned on or off by it's own switch. (the sliding switch next to the light itself)

Just FYI, I just checked to see if the BUNK switch (in the original post) affected the lights operated by the DOOR switches, and they are not related.

Not sure what you mean? I find that photos are more clear than words when trying to describe locations and objects. I just want to know what the switch by the bunk fan switch is. It is not a night light and I wanted to make clear where the switches for the nightlights are in my unit in the hopes that might hep someone figure out what the other switch by the bunk fan does.

Loosen up there Alice, Chris was trying to send a message that owning one of the very many variations of Lazy Daze motor homes is something of a personal experience. The switches under discussion appear in totally different locations depending on the year and model of the coach. The ownership experience is a fairly steep learning curve and it takes a person a considerable amount of time to become familiar with the terms and jargon, much less the physical reality. You are on your way, just be patient.

New owners have a certain advantage because all of that kind of stuff is explained at delivery. Folks who have purchased a well loved LD do not share that, particularly if there was no Owners Manual with the rig.

I have no idea if this will help, but in my 2003 TK, the single switch (no double switch in the overcab of this model and year) turns on the small just-above-floor level "night light"; in my rig, this is located on the end of the galley cabinet above the LPG detector. There's a double switch to the right of the entry door; one switch turns on the overhead fixture, the other turns on the outside light and the other little "night light" at the top (inside) of the entry steps.

I wasn't aware there was a fan in the overcab until later model years when LD replaced the large fan-less "escape hatch" with a standard 14" opening and put a fan in it.

I have been in and worked on many dozens of LDs over the last 23 years and every one of them, with a bunk, has the night light switch, as shown in your photo. Older models, such as your's, were equipped with a bunk fan, controlled by the other switch, eliminated in later models..
Your LD's bunk switch may not operate the night light anymore but that's what it was originally wired to do.

Does your coach have a 'Utility Work Light?' It would be located on the drivers side above the area that houses you electrical cord and dump valves. Not all coaches have these lights and even the owners who do have them are not aware they exist.

My utility light switch is one of four just inside the coach door and not even my daughter knew about the work light.
