FUN STUFF - LOUNGE LIZARD
BEFORE & AFTER
My LD is a 1992 26.5 RB. I like the look and lines of older vehicles, so I loved everything about its exterior.  However, the late 80’s lounge-lizard interior décor was giving me disco flashbacks, so it HAD to go!!!
The BEFORE shot is from the day I drove it home, Jan 2, 2018 and the AFTER shot is from today.
So whadda ya think? Anybody still getting a lounge lizard vibe?

This thread reminds me of an old Nintendo game.  Wonder if this guy owned an 80's Lazy Daze?  I do like your decor, Alice!

My wife loves the remodel while I like the traditional look. Not only that but the remodel makes me smell incense burning. :)

would have been hilarious if you could have put an old Atari game system on the "before" table!!   :)

OMG!!!   LMAO!!!   Dude you nailed it!!!  I spent the first 25 years of my adult life as a 'hippy-activist-surfer chick' and the next 25 years as cop. And now, I'm a retired cop channeling her inner hippy!!

I was a surfer boy too and your LD reminds me of the head shops I frequented and I really do smell incense when I look at your pictures.

Your wife might like this idea too,

The planter breaks up the view into the bus through the windshield, stows on a hook in the shower stall when the bus is in motion and has a battery operated LED string light woven in that makes a peaceful light at night.

Oh, those were the days! My first plunge was with a Texas Instrument TA-99/A with all the peripherals. How I loved (and hated) that machine... almost caused me to switch to Apple of all things.  :(

And you were a cop? That pic makes me want to light up a doob.

Oh yes! I too saved and purchased the peripheral expansion box so I could expand the memory to 32 kilobytes. Yes, I paid around $500 in the early 1980s to expand my computer by 32 kilobytes - not megabytes, and certainly not gigabytes.

My favorite was playing Parsec with the speech synthesizer installed. I even programmed a game in TI Extended Basic. Whew, those were the days!

Just in case you wish to enjoy those beautiful sounds and graphics...

“almost forgot that, I spent mindless hours that could have been put to better use!“

Yeah like the endless hours I spent playing computerized golf on my old 486 out in my “Man-Cave” Prowler 27’ TT.

Oh man, I'm getting all teary-eyed over here, thinking about those old PCs, ..... when I moved up to the Tandy CoCo II I felt like I could do ANYTHING!!!  If I remember correctly I got one with  a SIXTYFOUR  K memory!!!   64K!!!!!!
and personally, I still think 4 inch floppy disks are beautiful!!

By all means, feel free!! There are some SNICKERS Bars in the freezer, help yourself.

Well back in my misspent youth I'd take you up on it but as I've matured and grown I no longer indulge in that sort of thing. Now I prefer high quality chocolate and Snickers just won't do. :)

And then there was the Commodore 64.  Unlike your phone, it had less computing power than the Apollo spacecraft.  Not all games tho',  I typed up my wife's thesis for her degree.

In these times of legal weed, you can combine the two!  They make edibles out of really good chocolate these days....so I hear.  ;)
