RV vacuum
I don't know if these things are common knowledge or not in here but we have a 12 volt vacuum cleaner that we use in our house and brought along to a recent trip to the Oregon coast. They work great and are pretty small and the battery last a long time. It was really nice to vacuum up the beach sand that found it's way into our carpet and with two dogs that was quite a bit not to mention dog fur. There's several brands of these but this one has worked well for us.

I bought my bride one of these for Christmas this year:

Amazon.com - Dyson V7 Motorhead Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner -

(I know; I still get a little embarrassed by how romantic I still am after 40 years!)

She really loves it.  It is light, easy to use, has amazing suction power, and the charge capacity is pretty amazing.  On our last 3 week trip, she used it a bunch of times and never needed to recharge it.  Further, she has been using it in the house because it is so light.

That's the top of the line version. I bought my wife the cheaper version so I'm even less romantic than you are but she says it's the best present she ever got and doesn't know how she lived without it so it ended well.

Oh, July and all its Christmas wonderment. My DW in an effort to give me space for a pint of ice cream in the kitchen freezer only wanted one thing this “Julymess”...a new deep freeze. Hey anything for marital bless and a spot for my Mint Chocolate Chip.

Always the romantic. 😻

Oh the joy, just the place to keep that unused frozen turkey that didn't get eaten last fall.   :D

Joel,
Art Hoppe, Herb Cain, and Stanton Delaplane!  When I lived in the area, I loved reading those guys to keep a finger on what was going on in the City and beyond!  It is good to be reminded that their work lives on in the memories of their readers!
