If you haven't already,  get a notebook and log in the things you see need doing.  Check them off as you do them.
This will give a history of fixes and something to look back on.  
I keep a trip log and a travel journal.  It helps to remember where I am and have been when 'sometimers syndrome' kicks in.

Thanks JCT,

That is a pretty awful picture you paint there - but very true.  The repair I have in mind results in a much stronger cover.  These covers are made of the same material coleman uses on thier pop up camper front and rear panels.  At least the earlier models that also suffered from cracking.  I repaired both panels on my trailer and was very impressed.  Because I already have the raw material, except for the paint, I'm going to go that direction.  A new cover is an easy solution, but being out here in the Arizona sun I don't want to be replacing it every 2-3 years.  This is a link to the repair description.  I followed the instructions had like new, and stronger panels.

I have taken the LD out twice now and really like how things are coming along.  Very impressed with the functionality of this RV.

I have a couple of questions:

1. I have a wall switch that I can't figure out what it controls.  It is located on the passenger side in the overhead loft area.  It's fastened to storage cabinet on the end facing the loft.

2.  I used my TPMS for the first time this trip and noticed behavior that seems, at least to me, odd.  I set my tire pressure the night before, front 65psi and rear to 75psi.  Pressure was set with a high quality digital gauge.  Starting out on my trip the readings on my TPMS matched the setup values.  After about 30 miles of highway travel I noticed that the TPMS was reading 6-8 psi higher in all tires than what I originally setup.  Is this normal?  Should I lower my setup pressure in each tire to compensate?

Let me say that I have absolutely zero experience with TPMS systems, except those which were OEM on my Honda toad.

What your TPMS is telling you is the truth! You always want to set your tire pressure when the tires are cold. But, due to normal friction as the tires warm up, the pressure will rise. Do no be alarmed. As long as it does not exceed those 6-8 psi readings, you are good to go.   ;)

Bob, that is pretty normal.  You set your pressure cold.  As the tire, and the air it holds, warms up, the air wants to expand but can't, so the pressure increases.  When a manufacturer recommends a tire pressure, that means a cold pressure, and the manufacturer is aware of and expecting a pressure increase.  Do NOT lower the cold set pressure to compensate.

(As I was typing this, I see Lazy Bones posted essentially the same response.  Great minds, etc., etc..  :-) )

Re TPMS.  Absolutely normal. Do not let air out of the tires. It is good to have an idea of what the pressure is going down the road just so if one tire is way off  the normal (either low or high) you can reconize a potential problem before things go bad.

Re light switch.  On my mid bath that is a night light near the floor on the way to the bathroom.

I think that switch is for the night-light.  The night-light on our MB is just above the electrical panel.  You can barely see part of the night-light on the right side of the photo.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info on the TPMS.  Also, next time I get a chance I'll look around for the night light that the switch controls.  A night light would make sense.

Check with Todd to see if the AC Cover would be replaced as part of the re-seal of the roof.  If so, there are some temporary fixes you might try to hold you until then.  My first thought would be some surface sanding to get a bond, followed by epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth.  Cover any cracks by at least 3" on either side.  Second option - either eternabond or a good exterior-rated tape such as a foil backed tape.  Joan is right.  Flying pieces of shroud can damage other cars and people, and you would probably be liable for their losses.

Forget about Todd, the guy you would be dealing with is Vince and I can tell you here and now that he will NOT address any problems that have been previously repaired with Eternabond!   ::)

Steve, I think that the factory's (understandable) refusal to deal with previously E-bonded surfaces applies to the roof/body of the LD; since the the AC shroud is a separate 'component', i.e., not part of the roof or body itself, it's easily replaceable, no matter what it might be temporarily patched with.

I've replaced the AC shroud twice in 14+ years; even with regular coatings of 303, anything vinyl or rubber or ABS plastic really takes a hit from exposure to UV and ozone.

ADCO RV Covers, Travel Trailer Covers, ADCO Products

They make custom-cut covers for every Lazy Daze model.  Their covers have a zippered entry positioned over the coach door so you don't have to uncover when you just want to enter the coach for something.  And their best fabric is very UV resistant, but enough light gets through to keep my batteries floating off the solar panels.  I tried renting a covered space but all that happens is they raise the rent every year until it just makes more sense to invest in a good cover and keep it at home.  Good luck.

Any suggestions about how to get the cover on the rig? Hopefully without climbing on the roof. The covers I have seen look pretty heavy and unwealdy. In our storage yard they refuse to put covers on. That is left up to the lucky owner. ::)

Go to the Adco site or Google how to put on an RV cover. There is a multitude of video clips on how to do it.

Here is how I do it:  Get a covered trash bin, like in the attached photo.  Unroll the cover into the bin with the front side in first.  Center the bin at the front of the rig and attach a line to the rear of the cover and throw it up on the roof.  When you are on the roof, use the line to pull the cover out of the bin and up on the roof.  Once you have pulled the cover completely across the roof, unfurl it over the sides.  Return to the ground and secure the straps.  To uncover, reverse the process.  I usually pull the cover up from both sides and get it gathered into a long furl then slide it down off the back into the open bin.  Very good storage for the cover and there is none of the folding or rolling that you see in the ADCO videos.  Works really well with two people - one on the roof and one on the ground but completely doable by one person.
