New fire extinguisher

Just left the factory yesterday. Had a water pump repleaced. Vince did the work. I had the part. He just replaced it and tested it. $45 labor.

But he told me they are replacing all the kidder fire extinguishers - they have been recalled. I now have a new white one called -- Frist Alert. He, Vince either Kidder or the factory will be contacting those affected.

Kidde Recall

This has been a huge recall, affecting a large number of RVs. Kidde will apparently replace the ones found through their identification page on their website.

When I called the mothership for some parts, Todd advised me of the recall. I told him I'd heard of it on the LDO and already had it replaced. FYI, it too 2-3 weeks to arrive, and was the same form factor as the defective one. Kidde pays the postage back. The only reason I can see not to return it is if you want to use it to practice in a safe environment.
