Old School Lazy Daze
Many of you have been around awhile and have previously owned, or perhaps now own an older Lazy Daze. Thought it would be fun to start a thread where you could share photos of your vintage LD's, or of photos of vintage LD's you have come across in your travels.

I'll start with a photo of one of the first camp outs in my '85 TK taken at Lake Nacimiento, CA on Thanksgiving  Day, 1999. This is before I went digital so had to take a photo of a photo.

Our ten years of experience with Gertie (1985 blue and white TK) were pretty much before digital time, too, so I don't have very many.  But Andy Baird has so many photos of her in his arena, that there is no shortage.

Here is one I found of her down at the San Pedro Riparian area that is a couple of miles from our home.

When in Baja in 2008 we were exploring the East Cape in our Jeep and came around the corner and came upon a "vintage" LD, seemingly converted to a beach cottage. No one was around. We're constantly running into old LDs parked in the oddest of places or just chugging down the road. They seem to endure and the old paint scheme makes them easy to spot.

I often see vintage LD’s parked around town or churning their way through traffic. Unfortunately, they are often in far less than pristine condition.

Since the two most recent LD pics posted were ‘80’s here is an ad copy that may have enticed the purchase of a Classic Lazy Daze back in the day.

Wow, Kent! Twenty-four floor plans offered in three different lengths back in '85.  Must of been nice to have so many choices!

I would like those swiveling driver/passenger seats from the factory, just to open the space up more when parked (yes, I know others have replaced their passenger seat with a swivel base, but that's more work than I care to expend for jus tme & the 4-Legged Alarm).

Multi plan for the win. Wish I still had mine. TK takes a close 2nd.

I find I've used mine for a "farmhouse" as much as I've traveled in it so far--it's so nice to have all the amenities (electricity/TV/fridge/bathroom/etc.) when I go out there.  I get more done because there's no need to run back to town at the end of the day--the dog & I can just bed down out there (or take a nap in the middle of the afternoon if the mood strikes).

RE: "...old paint scheme..."  The new paint scheme is attractive in its own way, and I suppose I could have had something more individually artistic done when LDy Lulubelle had her spa treatment last summer, and even though I'm not that into "mid-century modern" (since I grew up with in it), the retro feel of the classic scheme just keeps growing on me...and yes, I like the fact that it's easy to spot another member of the cult.   ;D

Here is a shot of our old 1983 LD, in the driveway, back when we could water the lawn.
