We've only had our 2017 27'MB since June, but wouldn't change a thing (well, I wouldn't order the manual satellite dish again).  Friends wonder how we can go on the road for long stretches with no slides, but with the two of us, the wonderful windows and the great outdoors, what's not to love?  We put 9,000 miles on her from June through October (California to Florida to Minnesota, UP Michigan, Detroit, Cape Cod, NC and back to Florida) and have already started booking campgrounds for this next year's adventure, including the Blue Ridge Mts. NYC (where I lived for 9 years), Cape Cod, Detroit, Minnesota, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and whatever we can find to do in Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and other places on the way back to the Sunshine State. We've had limited issues with Bossa Nova and she's a pleasure to drive and hang out in.  We looked at Born Free while we were deciding, knowing we wanted a C-Class, and when the dust settled, the open feeling of the LD was what sold us.  Marie commented the other day, "I can't wait to get out on the road again." I totally agree.

An interesting discussion!

We didn’t find our LD, it found us. We were looking seriously at Class Bs, when a friend told us they were selling their 1992 MB. We jumped on it, being already aware of the legendary quality of Lazy Daze, and already fascinated by the picture window experience.

We bought their LD and did some work on it to get it back to snuff. It became our favorite RV in a hurry. We had other styles, but the “Motor Coach Lifestyle” suits how we travel. And, since we are beyond needing slides and never have sought modern fancy options, the Lazy Daze is perfect. The Mid Bath is our floorplan of choice, with two living areas and two sleeping areas.

We constantly reassess our choices, looking for the better way next time. To us, the benefits of the 24’ models do not outweigh those of the 27’. The RK is interesting, could be an alternative for us to the MB.

Currently we are on a 5 month, 13,000+ journey in a B van conversion we built. We use the nimbleness all the time, and are planning an upgrade that could get us to sell the LD. First we will make a winter trip to the coast for clamming. That should make us love the Lazy Daze. And it’s not like two RVs is too many, right?

We looked at a RK last year at the Morro Bay meet.  While I liked it, DW didn't like the fact that the kitchen is separated from the rest of the coach.  It also has the smallest kitchen of all the models.

Absolutely not!  ;D
