Our Cali needed a playmate and traveling companion so picked up this guy for her. He is a rescue kitty from our local community who was being fostered. His name is Buster and is one of the sweetest kitties you'll ever meet!

Greg,

Buster looks like my little Mitch. Mitch was one of six kittens that were birthed in my back yard by a neighbourhood stray.

Long story short...my cat Sooty was part of that litter. He is the brother to our three little dogs. A happier family you never did see.

Congratulations on your new family member. But are you sure you have enough toys?

Cynthia, we got Buster two weeks ago today but I've held off making an "announcement" because we weren't sure if it was going to work out. Cali would hiss and growl at him, and at us, if we had his scent on us. We brought them together slowly which I think paid off as now Cali tolerates him and I think even enjoys his company. It was touch and go for awhile as their personalities are so different. Buster is friendly and playful and Cali a bit on the aloof side but it seems to be working out.

As with people, cats can never seem to have enough toys! Oh, and one thing that blows me away is that Buster will fetch the stick toy in the photo. I had never seen a cat do that before!

You did the right thing in introducing them slowly 😊
My Grandfather taught his cats to fetch beer bottle caps. Funniest thing to see 😂
