Dismantling Propane Alarm September 07, 2017, 10:45:15 pm Quick! Before I go batty (more batty)! Not dryer sheets, not heat, not perfume, not flatulence ... but something is setting my propane alarm to incessant beeping. Although not quite 4 years old, it may be time for a replacement. In the meantime...I've pulled the in-line fuse and the #8 in the box -- no joy. What's the next step for disabling this thing? Thanks for all ideas!

Re: Dismantling Propane Alarm Reply #3 – September 07, 2017, 11:35:55 pm If your house battery charge is low the alarm will go off to let you know there was a power interruption. For example mine would regularly go off when the fans kicked on very late at night, or when the electric step went down. This happened to me when the original house batteries were near the end of their life.John
Re: Dismantling Propane Alarm Reply #4 – September 07, 2017, 11:37:21 pm You might try vacuuming it or blowing it out. Could be dust setting it off. It should last longer than 4 years.
